Compare Fund Platforms

I only dip in and out of this forum now and again but yesterday and today I've seen that this link has been mentioned:
http://www.comparefundplatforms.com/
I've never seen it before, my fault, but it shows I can save maybe 2 k per year on my ISA and funds portfolio if I switch from existing platform to another cheaper one.
Have platforms been discussed on here in any detail beforehand because it looks to me to be something worthwhile alongside Best Savings threads etc etc..

It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

There are threads discussing most of the major platforms in the Savings & Investments board.0
-
They appear to be inside existing threads whose thread title does not necessarily refer to Platform info or comparisons.
Or maybe you can point me to the thread you are referring to.It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -
Just search for the names of companies you are interested in. One relevant thread was only started yesterday or the day before.0

The one thing that Compare Fund Platforms doesn't tell you is the minimum amounts you can put into an ISA which could have a baring on your platform selection.0

It doesn't tell me if the funds I hold on one platform are avaiable on another.zolablue25 wrote: »The one thing that Compare Fund Platforms doesn't tell you is the minimum amounts you can put into an ISA which could have a baring on your platform selection.
And it's a pain to go through and check.
HL is much easier to use than II.
But not worth the difference in cost. It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -

I started to do that with some platforms for index trackers. To do it for all funds would be an almost impossible task with so many fund possibilities available.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
