Just wondering, I also received a BW letter yesterday (debt collectors so defaulted to ignore mode). But now read a few threads advising a reply. Is this because they are also solicitors and have gone further with their actions ?
Mine relates to JLA airport so very much doubt any action being taken.

It's because they have been seen to proceed in some Excel cases where people continue to ignore them, and it was thought by another poster on pepipoo that they tend not to continue in some cases when a robust response is sent.

But as yours is only VCS at an Airport, it's less likely that they would try a small claim, I think most here would say.

I can't recall if you haven't named the driver, yotmon, but the simple but robust response would be one from the keeper telling them there can be no 'keeper liability' on Airport land so they and their client need to stop processing your data - and warning that BW Legal will be reported to the CSA for breaches of the applicable Code of Practice regulations for debt collection.

Here's a good thread from pepipoo, look at Gan's letter post #43 and then read hoohoo's added comments and suggested letters/emails:

One (i think) major thing i forgot to mention was that this BW legal letter has my name on it but my neighbours address?!

I have checked with the DVLA and my home address is definitely correct on there system.

The PCN is linked to my old reg of my car (appropriate for the date of the ''supposed misdemeanor'') and is definitely intended for me, but was sent to my neighbour who then reposted it to me.

This also happened when the Wright Hassell brigade were spamming around but went unresolved.

    Any thoughts on this guys?

    cheers

Hmmm...the only address in danger of a default CCJ is your neighbours. As long as the neighbour would pass every letter to you, then you could stay silent for now, seeing as it's VCS who are unlikely to proceed.

Or, if you have some guilt about the neighbour being involved, you could send a robust response to BW Legal based on the others on here but adding the fact that their clients can't even get your address right so you are concerned about their ability to record factual data.

  • Hi,
I'm new on this site and can't seem to find out how to post a new thread, so I've had to post here.
My daughter received a letter from Wright Hassall (acting on behalf of ZZPS) with regards to a parking charge in Torquay. We sent a response roughly changing the wording from the many template letters on here. They've basically replied saying if we rely on the advice from forum letters then they won't reply any further and their letter is their final response. And, if we rely on this letter then they will seek an immediate strike out at court. Shall we just ignore it and wait and see if they apply to the court?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you

You need to locate and click on the "new thread" button towards the top of the "front page" of the parking forum.

Start your own thread that way.

(The letter they have sent as you report it here sounds nonsensical!)

Do start your own thread please.

Wright Hassall are really hitting the dregs barrel with such a stupid statement. It does not matter where you got the contents of your letter from, for what reason do they think a court would strike it out, because you were seeking help to reply to a known predator ?

Let it be the final response, a judge would not be impressed and from all accounts the courts are not very impressed with Wright Hassall.

You should complain to the SRA about Wright Hassall
    https://www.sra.org.uk/home/home.page

Also complain to the ISPA, Independent Scrutiny Board for Parking Appeals on Private Land.
    Nicola Mullany ... director@ispa.co.uk

Wright Hassall were recently appointed by the BPA to be an independent appeals service on previous stayed appeals.

It would be very worrying to Nicola that Wright Hassall are sending out this rubbish.

You and everyone must understand that these PPC's and solicitors are getting very disturbed by the good advice given on this forum. Also PePiPoo.
The more they scam the bigger these forums get and it is costing them more money than ever before. I do not know of any other industry (apart from payday rubbish), that has given birth to so many complaints about extortion.
It is nice to see clear panic attacks coming from these low life
