Asda never give an offer date its a case of when you see it buy.

It is under the Easter banner so fingers crossed that it lasts that long.

  • I managed to "grab" two on Saturday .....
though getting them was very much like the "Black Friday" scenes in the media! :rotfl:
People were pushing & shoving before staff could unload the containers of them.
At £7 - odd for a whole leg though, I'm not surprised!

They do this offer every year at this time. I live alone and love my lamb so bought a small chest freezer simply to store a years supply . I buy 4 or 5 at a time then take it off the bone into steaks and small joints , bag the trimmings for curries etc and then turn all the bones into stock which I reduce till very thick and then freeze in ice cube bags . I usually end up with about 16 to 18 legs depending on size in the freezer .

Thank you for this, it is the true old style way, I was raised by a Grandmother,, who didn't even have fridge but knew the value of buying a joint and making the most of it.Not everyone can buy a freezer or has the money to buy a years worth but I think can buy a joint and make it last the week.
