debsydoodah your description of events is confusing. Please start your now thread as it's even more confusing to have your case mixed up with that of Bobo88 the OP.
If I read it right your employer is the RK & has named you as the driver in which case the PPC cannot be chasing them for any unpaid parking charge & their POPLA appeal as the RK should have been a guaranteed win.0 -
Hi there, I am now going to add our predicament with Vinci (now known as Indigo) to this.
Our car was parked at Silverstone Grand Prix this year, on 30th August. The person driving the car was ushered into the field and asked to park the car. There were many attendants in the field ushering cars in - no one was issuing tickets; there was no visible signage anywhere; not one of the many attendants was informing people that they needed to pay. FYI the year before, the driver had parked in the same field and it had been free. So all those who parked went off to enjoy their day and when they got back circa 150 cars had parking tickets on them, including ours. One person was so irate that the police were called.
The driver of our car contacted Vinci by email two days later saying that he was not going to pay as there was no signage, no visible place to pay and not one of the attendants had told him to pay. Vinci responded by asking him to send in the PCN number, which he did. Vinci then did not get back to us. On 6th October, we received a letter from Vinci asking for the balance -71.00 to be paid. We ignored the letter as we were still awaiting a response from them. Another letter arrived, this time from zzps. The amount had gone up to 107 pounds. We ignored this as well. Then a third letter arrived on 19th nov stating that the amount needed to be paid. I then contacted zzps (I was not the driver) and informed them of the situation. They said they would get back to me. Did they? No. Then Wright Hassall started contacting us - first time on 17 December. I phoned them and explained the situation and that we had principally been ignored by Vinci and zzps and now the fine had gone up to 137 and that we were not paying. I also backed this up by email. They said they would get back to me. Did they? No! We then received another letter from WH again, a few days ago, threatening us with a CCJ. I rang them back - explained the situation yet again - also contacted zzps and Vinci. No one was interested and just passed the butt.
What will happen if we refuse to pay? What they are doing is a complete scam - how can you have a whole field full of cars, all having been issued with tickets! Does that not say that someone has misunderstood something?
If there is anyone out there who has also experienced this with Vinci, zzps and WH then please advise. We are both professional people and do not want a record!
Thanks.0 -

I have been reading through the thread above but just want to make double sure as i have ignored all correspondance so far and i am starting to worry if this was a mistake.
I received a PCN from excel parking services whoe have since refered the case to zzps. I have also ignored all there nonsense letters. However today i have received a letter from wright hassall saying that they have "been instructed" by zzps on behalf of excel parking services ltd and if i do not pay the sum of £186 within 14 days that they will recomend that there client seek to get a CCJ against me. As i am young and looking to move out soon this is something i want to avoid at all costs. Is it wise to ignore this letter aswell or am i likely to be taken to court? Any help is much appreciated.0 -

PLEASE START YOUR OWN THREAD ON THIS
and answer the questions there
Who issued the ticket ? Excel or ZZPS ??
How on earth can they state "they seek to get a CCJ against you.
These idiots have to win first in court and even if you lost, you get up to 28 days to pay before a CCJ is applied.
Another good reason to say that Wright Hassall should be kicked out of the game they play with POPLA.
No need to panic, others will be along soon to help, in the meantime
