Dongle to Skype wedding ceremony?

I have to admit I wouldn't know where to start with this, we haven't even checked at the church yet but...
My daughter is getting married in August at a church on the outskirts of the town we live in. There are a few people who can't/might not make the wedding (an aunt in USA, step-family in Canada and a friend whose baby 'due date' is 2 days before the wedding) and we are looking at being able to Skype, subject to permission.
Please can anyone advise me as to what we need in respect of a dongle (at least I've heard of a dongle) and the best way to go about doing this?
My husband (my daughter's step-dad) Skypes his mum in Canada but from the comfort of home, and he would be the one doing the Skype set-up, but it's the dongle and where to buy/ good offers to help set this up.
Also, my husband's laptop has a built-in webcam but would it be better to have a separate webcam he can hold rather than holding his laptop in the air and his arms aching?
Any advice and help greatly appreciated.

Hi
I don't know about the dongle but you do need to check about the copyright as putting something on skype could be considered streaming

and sometimes organists also charge more!0 -
...Moreover you will not be able to film the signing of the register and in some churches not even the actual ceremony. Even taking photographs is illegal for the signing and disallowed for the ceremony.0

Thank you for the comments but we are well aware of obtaining permissions etc. It's the practicalities of it should we be able to go ahead with it.
