Some very attractive flight prices to US from Newcastle

If anyone is considering flying to tha US this Summer, have a mooch to check out the fares for travelling from Newcastle on Google Flight Search.
I don't know if its new routes, additional flights or promotional fares, but United are currently upto £250 pp cheaper than other carriers on the same route.
If the prices look to good to be true, at the end of the process, click on "Book with United" and this will take you directly to Uniteds Booking engine where you can confirm the details and fix the price.
On the date/ flight combo that I've just entered, it was over £1000 cheaper for 2 adults & 2 children to fly United to/from Newcastle, rather than to/from London, to Dallas.
Even more startling was that NCL-Dallas, DEN - NCL on United was over £1500 cheaper than flying BA/AA/OneWorld LHR - Dallas. DEN - LHR.
Double startling when its the same return flight from DEN, before the NCL leg is tacked on :eek:

May have something to do with UA stopping flights to Love Field and promoting flights to DFW.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

It could well be - but they are currently so far beneath the market that it would be rude not to use them !
Or maybe it's something else altogether. 2ad, 2children.
NCL- LAX on United = £2911
LHR -LAX on United = £3656
Both flights on same day, both flights United's cheapest.0 -

It's a new route for United, and I know a lot of people were criticising it as a stupid route that won't work out. Hopefully that's not the reason for the cheap fares!0 -

The 5 days per week NCL-New York service has been scheduled and priced for quite a while. Its only in the last few days that the seat price has dropped by £250ish per person.
.
Oh dear, I've just looked again this morning and the selection/prices aren't as attractive as they were yesterday.
It looks like if you pitched in yesterday, you've snabbled an absolute bargain, but (much) less so, if you're booking today.

Yeah it's been scheduled for quite a while, but that doesn't mean it's been selling well. Dropping the fares could have been an indication that they weren't selling so they were trying to boost demand - if it only lasted a day though maybe it was just a glitch (or incredibly limited).0
