My Chihuahua aged 8 caught fleas despite using Frontline regularly.
Vet advised Comfortis as Frontline is absorbed through skin and hers is too dry due to her age.
Comfortis made her vomit several times.
    What can I give her?
    Any advice please.

Had I looked at Comfortis Reviews, many animals had such severe side effects, I would not have used it.

Last year, we used a newish flea treatment for our dog as using the back of the neck treatment monthly wasn't working. We bought a chewable tablet, Bravecto , from our vets.

The instruction leaflet states there could be mild adverse reactions, diarrhoea, vomiting, inappetence and drooling. My dog had no side effects even though he has a sensitive stomach. (he gets a gurgly tummy, and we've found it better to feed him 4 small meals per day.)

I think you're supposed to give Bravecto every 12 weeks for fleas, (and I think it treats ticks for 8 weeks) however because of the winter months, my dog has been flea free since last September.

Have you tried diatomaceous earth? Completely natural yet effective against fleas and other parasites. Make sure you use food grade though.
