BT Infinity pain

Hello hello,
I've been with bt (infinity) for a while a moved flat in January. I kept bt with me to avoid the cancellation fee despite the dropping connection. Worst idea ever...
I waited for 2 week to get the line with a downgraded connection because they said the area around new place didn't have fibre (website said differently btw). This issues might happen when you live in a rural area such Paddington (yes London). So i phoned 3 times to double check with them and I had three different replies. So I just kept the slow connection they offered even if the fibre was available and decided to do an upgrade to infinity afterwards. It took me ages and many phonecalls to get inifinty due a problem with my order.
Eventually I had infinity. Two days after and all the connection were offline, both landline and broadband.
After many apologies they were happy to sens an engineer in the next three days. I took the day off from work (even if I am a freelance who work with the internet lol) and the i sat from 8 o'clock to 4pm waiting for the guy. Couch got really warm and I got in touch again with bt and they apologized again saying they wanted to reschedule the appointment in the next days (shall I invoice them as they would do to us?). I just wanted to cancel the contract bacause I was fuming. I tried to call the billing department with no luck and waited the day after. The day after when i was leaving for work the engenieer arrived out of the blue. So i took an half a day off. The guy spent the all morning on the cabinet in the street and finished the job at lunch time when I really had to go leaving him inside the property.
Intrnet was working again...at least just for the evening.
This morning I contacted them again and had to go through the plugs of the flat again and spent and other 40 min at the phone. They said they wanted to send me the engineer again.
I took 1.5 days out of work and cannot take other time also because i am not sure they show up. So now according to them it is my problem if I cannot be at the property and be without line!
In the meantime i need internet and no one around has bt so i cannot use the openzone. My phone data allowance is nearly over.
I m attempted to send them the invoice of the work I lost and charge them just for fun and annoying them as much as possible but i know is usless. I would be happy to get out of the contract as I have the feeling they breach it.
Any idea????

If its a residential line then you will have issues trying to claim for business losses.
The connection will be on and off for a while after installing fibre. Everything needs to check the speed/reliability. Thats why they recommend the router/modem stays on 24/7 for a while.
Do you leave yours on?
The issue with fibre is that you dont get line stats like you do with regular DSL.
Maybe its just my modem/router on that though? Its the Plusnet one.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
You can't claim business losses on a residential contract, since such contracts have no SLA. (and since such usage is anyway a technical breach of the T&C's). If your connection is so important, then you need to pay for a business line.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
