  • Morning All, on this long awaited day !
I know how you all feel, I was waiting on the dreaded letter this time last year. Thankfully, we got 1st choice and one year on, things could not be any better, my DS is thriving, so that makes it all worthwhile. For those who may have missed out - remember schools keep waiting lists and I know in my DDs 1st year at Grammar, they admitted 3 kids from their waiting list ;)

    Good luck to everyone.

For anyone interested in Strathearn School, they posted the following on their website this morning -

For September 2016, Strathearn had 154 applications for 110 places
The outcome of the process was as follows.
All 101 applicants with AQE scores from 106 to 125 were admitted
This left a pool of 19 pupils with scores between 102 and 105, from which 9 pupils were selected.
The other criteria (Penrhyn, sister, eldest, etc.) were then applied with the following outcome.
Of the seven applicants with a score of 105, four were admitted.
Of the six applicants with a score of 104, three were admitted.
Of the six applicants with a score of 102, two were admitted.
When applied, the cut-off came at applicants with a score of 105 who were the eldest eligible child of the family and lived within 1km of the School.
The School has now established a waiting list for September 2016 from applicants who have been unsuccessful at this stage.
  • My son got into BRA with 98, just in case anyone is wondering about scores, might be helpful for next years parents if we post what schools are accepting what marks

Congratulations to you and your son Belfastjulie :T

I agree it is very helpful to others following this forum if people don't mind posting their child's score and the school it got them into.
