    One of my friends told me that one of the questions on Saturday was about the spelling of the word "calculator" - a number of canny kids turned over their admission card where the answer could be clearly seen!!!! Can you believe it??? Haven't dared ask what my DS wrote!

    I have just found the updated admission criteria forms have been published for schools here, it details how many applications they got for 2015 admission and how many places were offered... also a nifty search by distance for schools... doesn't actually tell you the lowest AQE accepted, but I am guessing these are now available and should show up in Belfast Telegraph soon??

    Go to Education Authority website, post primary admissions... I can't post a link as am a newbie...

    Is everyone starting to attend open nights ?
    They will usually tell you the score required for entry for current school year. Though this does vary sometimes by quite a few marks year to year

    Went to see our local secondary and grammar school last week and we preferred the secondary school. Many people were of the same opinion! I'm no longer concerned about getting a low score now.

    We went to The local Grammar and were told the score would be in and around 100 My son was Impressed with the school The Local high is this week going to go there as well .
