have had two glasses already - dont think I will see 8pm !! - light weight. Told DS we will go buy a load of sweets and chocolate tomorrow morning and then have a revision afternoon. Maybe I should just buy myself more wine.

White because we have no red and I can't be bothered going out again! X
  • Red white or rose who actually cares lol

A Chinese tiger parent . These kids are great aren't they . Even they are feeling it now too . Our school went home five papers and a bit of homework but told the kids don't do too much work over your break . Sometimes feel I wish i had not of started this you know and just went for secondary - those parents and children are not turning into raving loonies lol

    Just us

Our school has recommended that we don't do ANY tests over the break! I don't agree as we've only two weeks left so I'd rather keep going with our preparations. DD is now sulking cos I won't take the school's advice....

I cannot wait for this to be over!!! Agh!!!!

    Hi Miamam
I think you are just right to ignore that advice, I totally disagree with it myself - I would definitely keep them working and doing tests over the break - it is a vital time and could just make the difference. After all, once November is over they will feel like they are on holiday for the remainder of P7 because there will be no more pressure at all. I think many of us will recall cramming in last minute revision for exams when we were at school and we know our results were the better for it. :)

I think you're right to keep it going over the break. I've told my DD it's the last holiday she will have to work through for a very long time! Are any of you working through past papers in school? I'm finding paper 3 to be much harder with marks dropping more than 15%.

I don't think an hour a day is going to kill them, they'll have the rest of the day to relax and the rest of the year to have fun!

Flashfriend, I'll check out DD's paper 3s and let you know. X

Some papers def much harder than others !!

  • Hey bobs my ds doesn't like telegraph ones prefers an actual paper
We did some revision today instead if a paper it's amazing how good my ds can be when he READS the actual information lol
Great your scores are getting better we still bit consistent getting higher and not as many silly mistakes but just not consistent enough for me to be anywhere near confident

Less than two weeks to go I doubt I will be feeling any different
