  • The wine sounds like a good idea! I've calmed down after a stressful week with a child who has hit the 'can't be bothered anymore' stage. I've got my head round the fact that she will go to the school that suits her best and I've done all I can do now.
  • Flashfriend you and i must be on similar wavelength this week I've had a bit of that too from ds and you are right they will end up and work their best wherever they go . See the only thing that's annoying me is other people other parents all you hear is grammar is best you have to put him in a grammar school anywhere if he does the test eg chase the grammar to schools u wouldn't go to because of distance and money for a start . I feel like slapping them it really brings out the crazy on people
  • Totally agree Rainbowmac it's only in this wee country that we have a crazy education system which has made the parents crazy too!!!
  • It's really frustrating I just try to avoid all
Talk about it now with people apart from on here lol
  • It doesn't help when her cousin is doing it too who I know is going to get a high mark! I avoid any conversation about it now.
  • Omg flashfriend totally the same here although my ds doing both exams and cousin only doing gl . Crazy how it turns people . I'm just positively praising and helping da along the way giving him a chance at it . He actually thanked me yesterday for helping him I could have cried he can do it is able to do it but what will be will be .

Good morning ladies! Only one week to go Eeek!! I think DD has hit the can't be bothered anymore stage too, she's sick of it at this stage as am I!!

I actually avoid talking to other parents about aqe in real life, it's only on here that I really vent! The amount of people who've asked me outright where my daughters scores are sitting! I would never ask!!

I do think DD is secretly worried about it though but is not letting on. I ask her if she's worried and she tells me she's absolutey fine but I've noticed she hasn't been eating very well this week so wondering if she's anxious? Has anyone else noticed changes in their kids? I would really hate to think she's fretting!! Xxx

  • Yeah Miamum I'm feeling a bit like that too ds does say he is nervous he is more snappy about it all so I'm playing it all down just do your best etc that's all they can do anyway it's not the end of the world
My ds is more worried case he is the only one in the class that doesn't "pass" it

Hi Rainbow, your poor DS:( But you're right all we can do is support them and play it down as much as possible. I'm hearing great things about lavender for relaxation, in the bath, their bedrooms, etc. Think I'll go and get some products to help keep DD calm xxx
