They are also reducing their Loyalty Saver Issue 4 from 1.50 per cent to 1.20 per cent from 1 April. Letter dated 24 February but not received until 12 March!
They keep reducing their interest rates. Must now find better deals elsewhere.0 -

You are right, though, the 5% is only available for 12 months and only if you did not have a FlexDirect account in the last 12 months.
0.9% vs 1% ,wow on so many levels.0 -

Nationwide Save to Buy ( Non ISA and ISA Versions) pays 2% with no notification of a rate cut on 1 April

Terrible move by Nationwide. Apart from the 1.2% on the Loyalty Saver the best rate for me with Nationwide is now less than the 1% offered by a FlexDirect a/c paying 1% after the intro rate.
I did pop into the local branch and they suggested I open a new FlexDirect a/c in a sole name, this will give me 5% and after 12 months I can then open a new joint FlexDirect a/c.
It all seems very weird for them to tell me to close the joint a/c, open a sole a/c and reverse all of that 12 months later. That was the in-branch' advice so I too it. Within 5 minutes they had set me up in a room with a video link to Dunfermline where a nice guy set up the new a/c, it all took about 20 minutes which I will repeat next year.
As for savings, time to look elsewhere unfortunately.0 -

Forum advice probably would have been to have gone through Quidco/TCB for 80.00 + Xtra Cash
