Yes remember Geoff Hamilton, nearest we have now is Flowerdew (bob?)., though he's a bit of a maverick, no bad thing.
And sorry don't get listening to someone sowing broad beans, even in Welsh lol0 -
Yes I have met several Welsh men who have the same easy witty banter as he does I think that it may be a national trait.0

You have to hear it to understand the amusement.
Bob Flowerdew! Does he still have long hair?“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

In a braid when I saw him just before Xmas0 -
Does anyone know when Alan Titchmarsh is back?0

Just been googling Bob Flowerdew and his family, very interesting. "Farming in East Anglia since before the Tudors" sticks in my mind. As a regular boater in Norfolk with family there I'm not at all surprised he's an East Anglian! (I mean that as a compliment.)
Coming back to Geoff Hamilton, whilst passing near Rutland Water, I've often wondered if that hotel and gardens was the late Mr Hamilton's in his day. Does anyone know?“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

I think so Lisa, remember vaguely, Geoff's brother took it on.
Not sure about Alan Titchmarsh, Storm, looks like his Alan Titchmarsh show finished last November.
"Love your Garden" applications finished in Jan. So probably filming now.0 -
Oh dear, now I'm going to want to stop off there when really I should be continuing on to Norfolk. Might see how much the tariff is at the hotel and break the journey there, go and see the gardens the following morning and then continue on.“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

IIRC he never had the hotel, but Barnsdale Gardens was his creation to film Gardeners World. I used to visit often when I lived in Peterborough, it's free entry to RHS members - maybe only on set days though.0
