Hi all,
I am going to be moving house soon, approx 3-4 weeks and moving back in with my parents.
Am I able to get out of my talktalk contract as I won't be living in an address requiring broadband or will I still need to pay fees?
Any idea on the cost of fees or any ideas on how to get released from the contract?
Thanks

No you can't unless you move the service with you, which will start you on a new minimum term contract. Your choice to break the contract, so the full ETC is payable. The charges are given on the TT site:

so even though I won't be in a property requiring Internet, I will still need to pay?
Thanks for the comment.0 -
Yes you do-you agreed a minimum term contract. Your change of residence does not void that. The only get-outs are death or bankruptcy. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

lovely - hoping neither of those happen, cheers, I will just keep paying until I am in a new residence then.0

Well, you asked what grounds would release you from your contract-those are the only grounds.
When you move out, you will need to give TT 30 days notice, you will then be sent a final bill including the ETC. You don't continue to pay monthly to the end of the minimum term-the full ETC is payable once you break the contract. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I have Talktalk at my current address and have never been able to get the freeveiw as advertised. Due to being moved by my work I need to move house Talk talk will not move my current contract they want me to take out another 18 month contract the new house has a satilite dish and I would like to change providers. My current contract expires in November and they want over 200 to terminate it. Has anyone got any suggestions0

Any move starts a new contract this same question is asked daily with the same answers .
Your choice is continue with TT and new contract .
Or break your TT contract and pay off what you contracted to pay .
The never being able to get freeview would ask why first .0 -
TT are not responsible for the Freeview service at your current address, so what has that got to do with you wishing to break your contract due to relocation?
Freeview is delivered via an aerial, not via your TT phone line.
If you want a new ISP then you will have to buy out the remaining contract. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

I think both Sky and EE are offering vouchers up to £100 for customers switching telephone and broadband to them. You need to send proof of payment within 90 days of joining usually. Other provides may be doing this too.
You may be able to engineer that you get this although moving might cause problems with claiming at a different address.0 -
The issue here is that you want to change providers. When you move you will be liable to TT for the early termination charges but if you sign up for a new 18 month contract at your new home they will waive them. You can enroll for their Simply Broadband service so as to avoid their TV service because your new home has satellite. You don't have to take the identical package at your new home, even though they will try to sell that to you. As there are no phone calls included in the Simply Broadband, you may want to include the Anytime UK Calls Boost. This is a very effective combination.0
