Nationwide - 2 months and counting for a DIP!

I thought the mortgage offer was valid for 6 months subject to no change in circumstances and valuation on new property?
We have had issues with nationwide in terms of ridiculous requests. At some point we were told all deposit money has to be in one account! Why would we have to break our ISAs for that? We've had other conflicting advice on what is an acceptable proof of deposit etc. I am not impressed.
It'll be 1 calendar month tomorrow from application. After all the paperwork hassles the application is being considered today. I am so nervous....0 -
DIP is valid 90 days at nationwide0

DIP for us was 25 mins over the phone and then the document was emailed to me straightaway. Seems like it's a bit of a lottery with NW.0

As a broker I can tell you that delays of this sort with Nationwide on a DIP are not something we encounter.I am a Mortgage Broker

unfortunately for the particular product we are applying for, we have to go directly to Nationwide, it isn't available to brokers.
Though I am in touch with a broker now, as I am thinking of just giving up on Nationwide and going elsewhere.
We will see what happens when the mortgage contact at Nationwide rings me at 3pm today to go through the decision in principle AGAIN, only 4 weeks or so after they approved us before. I am hoping it goes through ok like the last time though (all done on the phone within an hour).
Top Cat, we were told the DIP was valid for 90 days too, we are only about 50 days in to that, but apparently we still have to start all over again, so infact it isn't valid for 90 days at all is it Nationwide?!Co-op loan: £2672.38. £2886.64 / £5559.02

Nationwide are being very slow with us, full application submitted 26th Feb and still waiting, valuation done 3rd March, Text from them yesterday to say valuation approved, verbally had offer on the 11th but still no sign in the post, considering we only had the text about the valuation yesterday I'm now wondering whats going on, our broker seems so laid back compared to us but we have to be out of our current property by 10th April so starting to get stressed now!0

Nationwide did the same thing with us. It took about 1 month and a half to get a DIP accepted after various troubles and even then the application went wrong after we paid the valuation fee.
In the end we had to make a formal complaint. Everything sped up nicely after that and was dealt with by a single individual until we got our mortgage offer.
We are just very lucky the people we were buying the house off took their house off the market once they accepted our offer and were VERY patient with us.0 -

I remember trying to replace my own immersion tank heater once.
I broke the tank and had to buy a new one.
I had it in and out three times in two days and it was still leaking at the end of it.
I am not sure it is always that difficult to change a heating element.
Perhaps I should have got a plumber to do it?I am a Mortgage Broker

Im waiting on a dip with nw since yesterday went to refer as they picked up a notice of correction i put on about a loan we had back in 2010 we had one late payment due to suspected fraud and it blocked everything coming out. They told mortgage broker it would be 8 hrs but its over 24 now and what i have been reading looks like were in for a long wait. Were first on the list to reserve this house so very anxious. They done a soft search and hard search yest0
