aww bless trying, dont worry you shall be green soon
and we shall celebrate... with regards to the xmas gifts, i started december 2006 for this years
i have most of them sorted/decided just my little bros and ordering my 'special cards' from moonpig... the problem is i am still saving for xmas this year... i guess it will roll over :rotfl: 0 -
Like the idea for this post.
heres mine
- transfer my CC balance to new 0% card I got meself
- change gas and lec supplier
- ebay several items and put money into my maternity fund pot
For the record, I never used to think about christmas until December and used to laugh at my SIL who always had them wrapped by september. I have now changed my ways, christmas is a big expense and things are so expensive in shop from sept onwards. This year, I have been saving £20 a month and have already bought several pressies when I seen stuff reduced. There are also 6 children in family with December birthdays, now I have my own baby and my brothers is due december too! I wont be spending january in debt next year, well not extra debt caused by christmas. Infact, if I manage to do all my shopping soon, I will even use the £20 month saved towards a holiday, well, maybe debt repayment.
Oh yes, in january I got 20 cards for 30p and 10 rolls of wrapping paper fopr free in a shop that was closing down an hour later! They are in the loft ****mental note not to forget and buy more*****0 -
Oooo good idea

* I need to clear £200 off the 'other cards'
* Get father to get a MAC code from BT so we can switch to Sky BB
* Downgrade Sky package
* Make an extra £100 from match betting
* Do at least two mystery shops
* Sell at least two more Ebay itemsNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
I want to:
Try and pay £1000 off Egg card (bit ambitious but if not £500)
Enjoy the summer holidays without spending too much
Avoid having visitors to stay as we always end up spending too much money
Build up £2 coin and copper collections
spend less on food (bill is creeping up, must visit os board)Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
Debt in July 2017 = £58,766 😱 DEBT FREE 31 OCTOBER 2017 :T 🎉
EMERGENCY FUND 1 = £50/£5,000. EMERGENCY FUND 2 = £10/£5,000.
CHRISTMAS SAVINGS = £0/£500. SEF = £1,400/£12,000 PREMIUM BONDS ME = £350. PREMIUM BONDS DH = £300.
HOLIDAY MONEY = £0 TIME LEFT TO PAY OFF MORTGAGE = 5 YEARS 1 MONTHS0 -

I started my xmas shopping the other day and i've spent most of today checking through quidco to see what companies will pay out in time for december as most of my immediate family have birthdays in january.
As an old (no offence martin) wise man once said "everyone know xmas falls on the 25th December every year so why are they so unprepared". :money:
I sleep with the money diet by the side of my bed

I go through quidco as well so thats another 10% for me. My plans for this month pay off barclaycard 515 it was paid 50 upto now. Take packed lunches to work so i dont spend my money in boots lol. I am glad I am not the only one who is thinking Christmas already. My boyfriend cringes every time i mention it!!!
I have started to ask around to see what people want for christmas so i can start getting presents. There isnt anything worse than waiting till december and having to pay for everything at once!
My aim for this month really depends on weather we get a date for moving for this month.
The equity in the house we are in at the moment £5k of it will pay off my loan. Thats my biggest aim anyway.
I also want to cut down the amount we are spending on food shopping as this is getting far too much!
My OH birthday is next month so will have to work out what i am going to do about his birthday as he is 30 so its a special one.March 2006 £15,200+ in debt April £843.64 in debt - Debt Free date Sept 2009
Egg Credit Card - £843.64 5.7%0 -
Christmas - not long to go now, in terms of paydays, thats 5, but that includes December pay which arrives early and therefore has to last longer!
I am quite proud of my christmas planning this year, but have to be careful as they severely reduce the maternity pay in Nov. I am proud fo myself.
Might go check out the shops later.0
