  • Have to say I'm getting pretty sick of Quidco of late.

Constant tracking errors, support that takes months to respond, Certain insurers that take almost 12 months to cough up...

Great when it pays but growing tired of it now.

For our last holiday [parking, insurance etc...] I used the [instant] discounts from the Civil Service Motoring Club instead of the Quidco route and waiting months.

On the upside just chucked the latest RHI payment, £209.81, into the SIPP for the instant tax relief boost :)

    Cheers

PS Good news about the laptop :)
  • I gave up with qu1dc0 and went to TCB as I found them better..

  • Great day in our family. Tremendously tiring, kids to bed at 11 and us thinking ooh we might get a lazy morning... Boys up earlier than Christmas Day!

today's challenge is to start finding places for stuff to live!

That's a job and a half storing all the new stuff.

Ooh sounds like Little Miss SJ's arrival is imminent. Clearly my 12th Jan guess is way out, but I'll stick with 8lb 3oz! :D

  • Ali - I reckon we've unpacked 60% of it all (large family on Mrs SJ's side) and we can now see the living room floor!

£1 TT'd today and I have a few pound left over from my music magpie money. I bought a few very large memory sticks for ou cars (will fill with all the cd's we can no longer play), and 1 for DS1's Wii U. There £2.29 left over so naturally this will go to the OP pot!

After going through our budgets and spending I'm very optimistic about January and December as we really didn't go overboard. I need to make a few adjustments with standing orders as we 'loaned' money off ourselves for the car and I want to make sure that we make a prompt start repaying it!

Right I've got 2 boys desperate to go out on mini quad bikes and green machines. We have a small window of no rain so need to capitalise!

  • Busy morning playing outside and it really took what little energy the kids had left! DS1 was in an unsettled state, so we packed off to grandmas with DVD players at the ready. So glad a relaxing afternoon with the rain outside snoozing to the cricket and darts. We all benefitted!

Mrs SJ nipped to Boots to pick up some baby clothes she'd ordered online in the sale, so we spent a bit but it was all budgeted for (£41).

Slowly but surely the house is returning to normal as toys find a home, I just need to blitz the kitchen in the morning and take the rubbish and cardboard to the tip.
