Well New Years Eve was New Years Eve. Ate far too much food, drunk far too much fizzy pop (I was the volunteer driver), spent too much time watching people getting drunker and drunker, hoping that another hour wouldn't go by before we headed home! In the end not too bad as we left at about 2.45am, so in bed by 3.15am. Slight lie in as up at 8.15!!

Tree has been taken down (kids back in school on Thursday so we wanted a couple of 'normal' days) and all stuff stored back in loft for another year. So enjoying a nice brew on the couch, in our tidy spacious living room, listening to football on radio. Dog snoring and looking forward to darts final tonight!! So just waiting for a break in the rain for a dog walk.

Money wise attentions turn to out usual chaotic January. 5 family birthdays and 2 our own kids! I'm happy with my 2018 targets in the first post and aiming for a £1200 net reduction each month... this will be a challenge!

Lastly i made the perfect start to 2018 with a £1 TT!

Congratulations on getting under the 100 k milestone. Bet that feels fantastic :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Well SJ - Finally took the plunge to MB, thanks to you. After spending time yesterday, followed instructions, not a clue, what I done, but followed them so complete pot luck if it turns out ok.

Sorry to be a pest but pm'd you.

Go get em with the MB! Hide your eyes for the next line but i made a right balls up this evening. A bit gung ho and managed to lose £48! 12 months ago i'd have been devastated but now it just irks me a bit as i know i'll have made it back by Sunday. Plus its a timely reminder to pay closer attention! I totalled up my MB profits from the last 16months yesterday and its over £5,300, but i appreciate its not for everyone.

In financial news, we've booked our holiday for 2018 and sorted out insurance so will get a tiny bit off cashback for the mortgage.

  • Oh nooooooo, This is what scares me, Masters can still lose money. I hope it wasn't me interrupting your betting.

I got in a bit of a twist, this pm, couldn't believe it when I came across that "rare scenario" just my luck, in my 1st free bet. What would the odds be on coming across that on your 1st free bet :rotfl:

Thanks for your help, been too scared to have a look at how my bets went, games probably finished around 10 mins ago.
