Blimey it doesn't take long to end up at the bottom of page 3!
Building work all but done, just need skirting boards refitting which us due for Thursday. Mrs SJ has sorted her colour scheme out so next weekend triggers decorating whilst I'm working this weekend. Timings was it'll all be sorted with carpets and furniture 1 week before maternity leave finshes and school restarts.
Current account back in credit after child benefit today and payday number 1 is Friday as well! After 2 spendy months we reigned in particularly well in august (so far), though this month our OP's may have to take a break with SMP.
All cash in funding circle has been loaned out so now it's a case of wait and see. I'm hoping/optimistic for 6% return.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......1 -
After utility switch received a £15.06 credit refund on top of the £105 I reclaimed before switching. So op that this morning. £45.50 so far for august. Also have £50 of quidco cash back expected this month.
Early look at figures we'll definitely hit out auvust target in post 1 and provided no crises should make £580 op total.
Yesterday I redid pet insurance for £50 cashback as well so that'll be a nice fund booster in October!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -

There's lots going on over here! Well done on the progress with the house and keeping up with the OPs
Keep us posted on the funding circle progress, how much have you got in there in total?0 -
OCC - i tired to plan for the 12months before this period so that SMP would have minimal effect. I'm still aiming for £580 this month but still have that niggling doubt that I may need to hold some back (but then I know how my mind works, so I probably won't!).
Elephant - I've got £488 in FC, or which £484 is being used. Its early days and I suppose 3 weeks from now is the key indicator when I see if every company has paid there first instalment back! I've got £60 per month (though it'd need to be £120 every other due to £100 minimum funds addition) earmarked. It's money we're saving for 6-8 years towards a new kitchen so in theory don't need it for a while, but I'm holding off that decision for a few months yet. I'm also thinking it'd be a good place to put my MB earnings (unless I spend on me, yeah right...!). Time will tell.
So had the annual wardrobe sort out last weekend and I've been listing things bit by bit over the last week. We already had 44 items on relist mode from last year, but we've added another 63 so far. I'd say we have about another 20 things to list on Sunday as well. All free listings of course. We're having no more kids so everything of DS2 ages 2-3 and 3-4 have been listed, alongside Baby SJ's newborn, 0-3 and 3-6. We've then got a bag together for the loft of DS1's 6-7 & 7-8 clothes. These have barely been worn as he seems to have gone from age 5 clothes to age 9-10 in a matter of months! As usual some has gone to charity shop!
So, big eBay push to help with Christmas. 7 items definitely sold for a £18 total plush a few pence here and there for postage.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
If this is a silly question, feel free to ignore
With Funding Circle, what happens when the money starts being paid back in installments? Do you just get it returned to your account or is it reinvested?Mortgage - £105,5000 -
If 'autobid' is turned on it'll get reinvested once you have enough. If you turn 'autobid' off it iust sits in your account until you withdraw. Autobid is the tool that does all the loaning out for you rather than you manually selecting companies. I've got autobid on and the plan is to leave it on and reinvest.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......1
