I know someone remortgaging this month and cannot seem to find less that 2.44% for under 60% LTV without changing and paying a large fee (not worth it, in their case):(

Dunno if this will help AFK?
If they are looking for a fixed rate - HS BC have options below that for 2, 3 and 5 years. There are deals both with and without fees - need to look at the fee saver option for those without. Rates vary from 2.39 down to 1.79 depending on length of deal

I expect we'll stick with FD given their rates and unlimited OP's.

£1 TT this morning and £15 of Halifax rewards OP'd. Shaping up to be a pretty decent month (very early days though)!

M&S current account £100 gift card will take care of school uniforms with the usual aldi shoes!

Well another weekend has come and gone. 9 schooldays left for our boys and then the real juggling act begins! I need to spend some time tidying our front borders but keep getting scuppered by the rain every time I'm off, so that job gets bigger each week.

Money wise we're all quiet, main,y due to the fact I told Mrs SJ we were skint! We're not really but next month we drop onto statuatory maternity pay for Mrs SJ so she needs reigning in slightly! Being off work is great, but she spends on dust!

New week off and running with a £1 TT. Then got drenched in school run and have soggy socks for the day now!

I stash a pair of socks and underwear at work for just such a scenario (have a 1+ mile walk in so if it's wet I'm likely to be soaked by the time I get in).

My work drawers are stuffed with emergency porridge, cereal bers, flap jacks etc...!

Money wise the month seems slow. Bank account is Anaemic owing to an expensive June. The builder seems to be taking forever to come (he said 4 weeks and this is only week 3 but still time is slow...), and all I can think of is the big decorating job looming large...!

Utilities switch will complete on Friday. I have all my money out of first utility so shouldn't have any hassle (they may owe me £5-£7 in the end). I had a panic yesterday that I hadn't cancelled the car insurance requote but thankfully when I rung up I was one day before!

This time of year it seems very busy with end of school stuff and prep of DS1 for school next year.

Mrs SJ drops onto statuary maternity pay for her next pay so money will be very tight for 2 months...agh.....!

Ouch dropping to SMP during the school holidays will be hard - I always used to find August really expensive when the kids were off school

Damn big post on phone lost!

Hoping summer will be frugal. We have a week away in caravan but with swimming pool and soft play on site we should be thrifty! Rest of the hols grandparents are entertaining the boys for us.

£1 TT this morning and small change jar is looming like it needs oping. Hoping tomorrow I can OP £6+ from TT pot.

TT weekly pot fell slightly short. Was hoping for £6, but came out at £5.95. Op total is £54.83 so far for July, so once we add on regular op's we should get to about £580.

Statuatory maternity pay is the tricky but for next 8 weeks but I'm hoping we can still op £300 each month.
