I am glad you had a good birthday - you deserve it!
Cooked breakfast and loaded dishwasher and then sneaked upstairs and tried my new gadget on the hard skin on my feet which seems to have helped.
Dishes are in DW and clothes are on the washing line so hope it does not rain. DD is driving over this afternoon to give us a lift to look for a suit for DH so will cook a lamb mince with lots of veg that can be turned into a cottage pie or lasagne later for dinner.
DH is getting fed up with chicken, one DD won't eat beef and another fish and SIL is not keen on lamb so it will be fun catering if they all come next weekend.
Trying to work out if I have time to scoot to library before it closed at one so need to get a wiggle on.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

Morning all,
a wet and miserable day here. No sign of the grounds workers working on the gas mains outside. I'm not surprised really as its raining cats and dogs... however it would have been nice to have been able to use our path up to the public footpath onto the road. Hubby is going to do a lot of complaining tonight when he comes home as he is having to park his car in the back garden which is churning all the grass up. We cant get near the front of the house. They promised us it would all be completed by today.
All is well with me except that I am suffering with 'lazy cow syndrome'. Periods of broken sleep means I am tired a lot of the day. Oh deep joy!
Hubby is home tonight for the weekend. Hes not had a very good week.
Have a lovely weekend all of you.

Morning all another bright and sunny one

Having a general tidy up, bit difficult at the moment though because my arthritis is flaring up, which usually means a change in the weather.
DH and DS are continuing with the bathroom at the weekend, I will be so glad when it is finished, but seeing as they don't have a lot of time off, it will take a few more weeks at least :eek:
TA glad you had a good birthday xx
Camelot  You need to take more care of yourself ((hugs))
We are all devastated about the death of Terry Pratchett, he was our favourite author

He was our favourite author too! I went to book signing in York years ago and bought his latest book and got him to sign it for Dd who was going GCSE's at the time.
He actually raised his voice and intoned in Latin then inscribed the book to wish her luck which startled and impressed the long queue and delighted DD when I gave her the book that evening.
Maybe he will find Rincewind's hat and have a nice cuppa tea a la Granny Weatherwax!"This site is addictive!"

Hi everyone,
It wasn't a very happy day for me yesterday. The sale of mum's house has fallen through, which is a huge pain.
That pales into insignificance though because DD was told yesterday that the neuro-surgeons have reviewed the MRI of her neck and want to see her. I'm trying not to dwell on what it might be and also to remain upbeat for her but as you can imagine it's quite worrying.
She and BF are coming for the weekend so I think lots of tlc is in order, at least the pain relief is working and she isn't in as much pain as she had been.
I'm spending the day cleaning, although it seems quite easy since I've been kondoing, I've still got a lot of places to do but it's making a difference.
Have a good day.0 -

I hope Mr Pratchetts hourglass was full of rainbows and that Albert, Susan, the tiny bony one who says squeeeeekk and the tall one with the deep voice and the big scythe and Binky all gave him a standing ovation as he set out across the black sands..... of course he's likely to find a new career as a 'Ghost Writer' so we may not have had the last stories yet?0
