Amazon - Parcel dropped over back gate

Ordered a couple of SSD's the other day and they were delivered when I was away yesterday. The card through the letter box said they'd left the parcel by the back gate. I couldn't see anything from the front. They'd dropped the parcel over the back gate, onto the concrete floor.
I know SSD's can take a bit of a knock, but it isn't great that their delivery people are just dropping them from that height is it. Rant over

I would give them a call asking when my items are going to be delivered.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Marleyboy You Are A Legend!
Marleyboy speaks sense
marleyboy (total legend)
Marleyboy - You are, indeed, a legend.0 -
Haha! I'll be asking them to replace the items I think, rather than take a chance using them.0

How do you know they didn't open the gate?
I think how bothered I would be would depend on what the item was. Certainly any computer components would be going back. I wouldn't recommend committing fraud like the above poster but I'd certainly be giving Amazon a call. This is of course dependent on my first question.0 -

They can't open the gate it is locked. Approx drop height would be over 6 feet.
I've returned the goods for a refund as one of them was for a friend and I'm not comfortable handing over potentially damaged goods.0 -

Obviously a personal thing but that never bothered me at my previous address under similar circumstances. I preferred having the items rather than the hassle of having to arrange a collection, never had anything broken though. It's someone else's fault.0
