Need new Sat Nav car charger

Many thanks for all your replies - some of the very technical ones went a bit over my head - but it seems that a generic charger should be ok.0

Sorry - a further question - a friend has given me a lead that she no longer needs, but whereas the original one has an output of 1.5 amp, this one is 600mAmp - would it be safe to try it?
Many thanks0 -
All you need is a USB car cigarette lighter socket like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/200995415696?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&chn=ps&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108&ff19=0
You can then connect and charge anything with a USB lead - no need for separate chargers at all.0 -
