A debt free bank must be unique in the world.
Is it debt free?
I suspect it will be a good thing for customers, if they follow further in Santanders steps hopefully they will be able to offer better products.0 -

When it split from Lloyds all previous bad debts stayed with Lloyds.
Since it has been trading little over a year it would take very poor management to mess it up this early!:D0 -
TSB financials are available on the web, you can see for yourself: http://www.tsb.co.uk/investors/results-reports/
What has Santander got to do with TSB/Sabadell? Expecting them to do the same is like expecting all UK-owned banks would do the same.
I will leave you to answer that.;)
I was only suggesting it.
I thought HSBC was the only bank that could cover its debts. You learn something new everyday.0 -

Huh?? It was you who made a link between Santander and Sabadell/TSB. But I see you can't answer the question, which seems to confirm that there is no reason for assuming or hoping Sabadell will do what Santander does/did. Banks, like other companies, thrive by differentiating themselves from their competitors.
They are both banks which have been taken over by the Spanish.0 -
