obviously , Nsi doesn,t move with the times, still in the past!StickorTwist wrote: »You may have become a customer 15+ years ago but that does not mean they are not entitled to examine your idenitity now. The world has moved on a lot since then.
This probably means there is not enough about you out there in the electronic world that gives them enough assurance, so they have to bother you for papers. Of course the data they are using for this has to be accurate also.
I open and close bank accounts umpteen times a year, have about 15. So, if there.s not enough data electronic now, there never will be! It.s been donkeys years since a bank asked for Id ! Always enough electronic data for them ! I never saw any mention of a Nsi number when applying online, so, Don,t know if they are sending one ? Only when I tried to login, I saw I need one to do so.0 -

I just sent my joint application in the post. Apparently I had omitted both our dates of birth but they took the easy way out, phoned us for them, so just waiting for the bonds now.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
They took my money, then asked for id, bit backward. at least, they are processing them quickly now. They can do this so your investment starts straight away. However, if there is a problem, your money is returned and the agreement void.
I was told that the premium bond holder's number was not that required; rather a number given for previous online/phone transactions.
Having done neither I was issued with a number and separate temporary password. You can't discuss anything with tem until you choose your own permanent password, though.
Yes I do mean check their paperwork which they send you, as both ours, phone processed by the same person, had errors; one obviously the result of quick typing and the other odd spelling (was not asked how to spell my name).0
