Flip your phone/tablet into landscape, or tilt the head perhaps
  • 9in ex amstrad VGA monitor , not helping

ie 11 , with favourite's down left , as I typed , the first word scrolled out of the topic box , hence I missed it
  • latest update from pands or even panda AV

might help you get your machine running

**Update 2 from Panda Rep 11:15AM ET:
"It was an issue where the windows dll update file was treated as a virus. I am awaiting on the fix at this time to advise how to proceed if needed. There is a global fix in the works now."
**Update 3 from Panda Rep 11:38AM ET:
"All updates have already been disabled. No new users will be affected."
**Update 4 from Panda Rep 11:41AM ET:
"If you have already rebooted an affected machine or are receiving a black screen you can do the following:
    1. Reboot the machine into Safe Mode with Networking
    2. Open Services
    3. Stop the Panda Endpoint Protection service
    4. Restart the machine into Normal Mode
    5. If the machine successfully restarted, Go to step 5 below:
If the machine does not restart into Normal Mode do the following:
    1. Restart the machine into Safe Mode with Networking
    2. Open the properties of the network interface card
    3. Deselect the entry named Network Activity Hook Server LightWeight Filter Driver
    4. Restart the machine into Normal mode
    5. Open Services
    6. Restart Panda Endpoint Protection service
    7. Open a command prompt
    8. Type in “sc stop psinaflt” without the quotation marks and hit Enter
The affected files will not be restored at this point but you should regain access to unaffected applications and Panda will no longer detect legitimate files. Please leave your machine in this state, DO NOT uninstall Panda as the fix we will distribute will need the protection and the communications agent in place. "

It's only a matter of days since Norton managed to screw up everybody's Internet Explorer with an update. Makes you wonder what ever happened to testing and quality control. :(

What versions of the programs are affected? How would we know if it was affected? Do the workarounds apply to xP, Vista,7 and 8? I could not find this anywhere and would be of interest to lots of people.

Well XP has hung without even rebooting. Can't even get into task manager to stop things. Ooops.
