talktalk contract finished. Any recommendations?

All I'm after is broadband. At the moment I'm paying £3.50 + £16 something line rental.

If you find it cheaper (for a set 12mths or even 18mths), report back

Contract don't just 'finish', they continue until you give notice. Do nothing and it rolls on. If you are at the end of a limited time discounted period and are happy with TT, then call them up and cut a retention deal for a further minimum term contract. Since you hold the strings, you have the advantage.

Stayed with TT in the end. Offered me free BB for the year and £10 crdit. Payed the line rental off for the year so works out £15pm. Not great but it will do.
  • My TT contract is nearly up too, if I switch to the Plusnet offer that MSE has going at the moment, does anyone know if I will need a new router or will I be able to change the settings on the TT router for the new ISP? It's a Huawei HG523a branded to Talktalk.

I don't think TT lock their routers-however if you use it, it will not be supported by PN. The router is anyway supplied FOC, all you pay is about a fiver postage.
