Compensation Thomas Cookvoucher???

I completed the request for compensation and today received an email from Thomas Cook saying they apologise for the delay in my flight and have awarded me a voucher for the amount, to be used before March 2016. I didn't expect a voucher. I have already booked my holiday for this year and it is not with Thomas Cook. They say the voucher cannot be exchanged for cash. Anyone else had this?:mad:

Loads of people on the Thomas Cook thread, if you search the word "voucher" on there you will see the last 300 posts where people have asked the same question
