Not suggesting getting rid of BB.. One option could be to go wireless, then you could leave the PC where it is. Wireless routers are about £20-30. A freeview box or video sender for upstairs is a similar price.

Posting APR's/full details on the debts would help people give you advice on how to tackle them

oh, i'll have a look at the router option, i've only got the box upstairs for the computer so could get rid if i got a wireless.

The surestart one doesnt open till 8am, my son was in there but i removed him as it was crap.
i'm happy with the nursery he is in, i get help from the tax credits so only pay £103 out of my earned money a month towards it.
he's only 3 so most school nurserys only offer 2.5hr sessions which is unpractical, i wouldnt use a childminder either.

yeah I know SS not always good - it varies between centres; the odl Council nurseris were MUCH better. But children's centre have to open at 7.30 under childcare bill (but they DO fiddle this, I know)..but, if it is rubbish then pointless for you.

I am shocked about the schools! Here they are full-time from term after child is 3.5 years old, though your LO isn't quite old enough I guess. I guess what we all need is a longer entitlement to child-care hours (I don't use day care and never would, but I understand lots really like it, so it needs supporting more). I really hope that you can sort all this out and keep in mind that in two years childcare will hopefully get easier!
