When i was getting paid weekly, i divided all my bills that went out monthly by 4 and put that set money away each week into another account where my DDs came out

Then i knew what i had left was for food, spending, saving - or whatever i wanted

Also some months with 5 weeks i would have extra in the DD acc and could add that to my savings

he will be funded from september, so will reduce the childcare costs. he's in private nursery 4 days a week and will go to the school one for one day, i need him in the private one as i need to work from 8am.
he is potty trained but not at night, he's been potty trained nearly a year, but he still goes to bed with his bottle :o

I don't know where you live but have you been to Sure Start - yes, a bit of a pain in some ways, but children's centres are open from 7.30 am - in your situation you can push for a place. They'd also help you look at all options including child-minder before school: though I know how tricky all this stuff can be, believe me!

School: are there any with extended hours even if you have to travel a wee bit on the bus?

Nappies - sorry! Bottle - aw, sweet.

The surestart one doesnt open till 8am, my son was in there but i removed him as it was crap.
i'm happy with the nursery he is in, i get help from the tax credits so only pay £103 out of my earned money a month towards it.
he's only 3 so most school nurserys only offer 2.5hr sessions which is unpractical, i wouldnt use a childminder either.

£1092 on phones and BB looks a little high. Have you looked for better deals?

    Water x 2 ??

TV LICENCE - 26 (if this is 6 payments/pa, then it's really only half that for the purpose of a SOA)
    £1092
I have 2 boxes with the biggest package, talk unlimited and broadband, phoned up and got it down to £60pm.
i suppose i could downgrade my telly package, i never thought much aout it coz i have always used my child benefit to pay the phone.

yes we have 2 waters down here

i am on the cash easy entry scheme, paying £6pw, but i've worked everything out monthyl for here.

    Still don't understand the 2 waters..

1092 is how much you are spending on phones and BB / year. One sixth of your earnings.
2 water rates, one for good waer and one for sweage, i live in sussex, i wasnt doing the rolleyes at you, i was doing it because it's stupid to have 2 water rates.

1092 is how much you are spending on phones and BB / year. One sixth of your earnings. If you want to make savings, then you need to look at the need for 2 mobiles, and TV packages. You can get sky/BB/phone packages for much less than that.
true, i suppose i could get rid of the upstairs box, but then that would mean having to find space downstairs for my computer, space which i dont have, i need the broadband as i sometimes do on call which means i need to have access to the computer and internet.
i'm with virgin, cant get a bt line or sky so thats out of the question.
