Hi, I do not really understand what you mean by:

searching for them through here takes time

They are all listed on here for you, with often lots of terms & exclusions highlighted.
Entering a comp via here & using RoboForm takes me a couple of seconds, if there are no software glitches.
I then use the MSE functionality, ie the green tick & the Thanks button, and just move on & forget about the comp.
I also often use the link below to spot comps that I may have missed that are popular:

    Today's most popular

The link doesn't open for me when I click on it.
    2019 Prize Total - £0/0 Prizes 2018 Prize Total - £100/1 Prize 2017 Prize Total - £250/2 Prizes
    2016 Prize Total - £650/3 Prizes 2015 Prize Total - £250/5 Prizes 2014 Prize Total - £625/10 Prizes
    2013 Prize Total - £430/5 Prizes

I actually find it pretty therapeutic entering competitions! Maybe there's something about the repetitiveness of online form filling, reminds me of running and swimming (my other hobbies.)

Plus the competitive streak in me keeps me going because I think 'If you're not entering them, someone else is going to be and they're gonna win!'

I've got so much respect for people who post the comps all the time (weeowens, Lakshmi ect) I'm always curious about them. I even formulate mini stories in my head about who they are and what kind of lives they live haha...

    Hi,

Newby here :) .. the day dreaming is keeping me going. I haven't won anything yet and I have entered nearly 3000 since mid Feb. Love this new little hobby though and I suppose that stops it from feeling draining... I wouldn't bother with anything unnecessary that made me feel like that.

Thank you to all that contribute to this forum xx :T

I would suggest that counting is not a good idea.It may work for some but I feel that the best way is to just enter & forget.

Isn't this the curse of the newspaper/mse article? People think they can fund a lifestyle by entering competitions?
It might seem harsh but unless you view it as a hobby and not as a money making scheme you'll never get any enjoyment out of it and might as well stop now.

miss_devil you are obviously trying to provoke a reaction, judging by your other posts that certainly is the case.
You could say the same about people who catalogue train numbers or collect fluffy cat toys. The point is, regardless of how much someone partakes in a hobby, whether is be obsessively or every now and again, the reward (if there is any) is a happy by product.
There are those who comp and who interact in this and other forums who don't have another outlet, who find comfort in the fact that there are other people who enjoy this hobby without the consideration that they will win an ITV comp within the first week of trying.
And, if someone wants to enter competitions for hours every day, surely that's their prerogative.

You have to be a bit numb to be able to do something so repetitive. I can't do dailies feels like ground hog day, so do it when I feel like it.

Entering competitions is a nice contrast from the rest of the things in my life... But to spend hours and hours every day doing this wouldn't be right. There is more to life, like learning how to do something productive or creative like painting or growing plants ;) Not sure why people don't get a buzz out of being good at something?! No instead they'd sooner waste hours of their life doing data entry for less than min wage. :rotfl::rotfl: You know theres jobs out there that pay £8 an hour for entering data all day long?! thought that would be every full time compers cup of tea seeing as none of you are bothered about winning! ;)

what amount of time would u consider a full time comper tho or are u meaning ppl who enter at least a few every single day
before reading these forums etc i never even knew it was a hobby
id like to be good at something like that but i end up frustrating myself as i dont have a natural flair for it
liking ur insight tho cause its good to see if from another angle

& yeah agree with the not counting idea thatd take even longer
i looked into a tally add on and couldnt find one as i was gonna do it then decided whats the point cause its not gonna make u feel good if u see uve done a load and not won a thing

I love the counting :rotfl: I have a little spreadsheet ... half copied from the march challenge. Just adds a little structure to it for me, i would obviously love to win something (and I only enter for things i would like to win) but in the mean time I am in competition with myself to see how many I can enter in an hour/week/month. :):):)
