Holiday suggestion please

Can anyone suggest a holiday for me, my boyfriend and my 18 year old daughter for a week in August.
The budget is around £2,500 max. Me and my daughter are quite happy to chill by the pool etc but my boyfriend likes sight seeing and exploring so preferably we would like a resort where we can go out and about and maybe do a couple of day trips.
We like eating out and watching the world go by but aren't really into hectic night life etc. My boyfriend is into photography so we would like somewhere scenic.
Any suggestions please?

£2500 per person or all in?
If you'd like sensible answers perhaps give us a bit more info, e.g. Aug dates, long/short haul, airports, are you hoping for AI or what?
Suggestions = Greece, Barcelona, Mexico, Cuba, Italy, Gambia, South Africa, Spain, Portugal, France, Turkey0 -
Playing around on Thomsons I found this:
£875 pp = £2625
7 nights AI
Turkey, Sensatori Resort, from Gatwick0 -

Sorry should have been more specific.
£2500 all in
1 week from around 8th/9th August from Gatwick. No longer than about 4 hours flight time.
Don't mind if AI or S/C etc.0 -

It makes a huge difference to your budget, sc or ai.
The sensatoris (mentioned above) are lovely.0 -

Yes you are right. It would have to be pretty perfect to justify the full £2500 on self catering.
I have £2500 budget now but could save more for August for spends etc is what I am trying to say.
In the past I have tended to have half board but we did get a bit bored eating the same restaurant every night, although I understand some resorts have more than one restaurant.
In the past I have stayed at Avanti Village, Paphos and Sa'Marina in Cala'dor if that's any help. I also love going on cruises but we can't afford to do that with 3 of us this year.0 -

AIs usually have far more choices for dining than half boards.
Have a look at the sensatoris, they would be my first choice for ai.0 -
What would be on your wish list???0

What would be on your wish list???
My wish list would be a cruise round the med but budget wise it would be too much.
I just want somewhere with good food, no mad scrum for sun beds (a big ask I know!), and not somewhere overrun with karaoke bars and fast food joints.
An ideal holiday day would be maybe a morning exploring the local area, a lazy lunch followed by an afternoons sunbathing. An evening in a bar watching some local entertainment would be good.
I have just been browsing online and so far have shortlisted Lanzarote and am now thinking about maybe a greek island but not sure which one. Does anyone have any experience on somewhere like Croatia?0 -
I've heard FAB reports about Croatia, I've never been, but it's definitely on my bucket list!0

Another vote for a sensitori0
