In a poll of public apathy, it was found that most folk couldn't care less :D

was this poll taken at the local bus stop;)

  • Look...... if conducted in a fit and proper manner (which the current system is not in my view) then actually I do completely agree people have the right to strike..... However, in this day and age it really gets you nowhere from what I have seen. If it is staffing issues or other such resource issues organisations are having then personally I think People would be better off working to rule as the folk of the Water Service did..... That way you are still actually doing the job you are paid to do but nothing else hence highlighting the real issue.....
To go on strike due to Government Cuts...... To Average Joe working in a run of the mill job in the Private Sector that's just a case of those bl00dy overpaid Public Sector lot moaning again..... (I'm a prime Example :rotfl:).... you can bleat on about the cuts and how it'll effect the public services but people of the public a lot of the time see very little of these so called services anyway so it means nothing to them....

So By all means strike...... Personally I believe it will not make a blind bit of difference.... To be honest, most people probably won't give a toss.... heck it just means the roads will be clearer during rush hour around Belfast....

Proving how wrong you are - there won't be any public transport, so the traffic will probably be much worse, depending on how many people decide not to go to work (not strikers) and how many schools close.

Ah but we get to use the bus lanes on Friday. That'll clear the city up.

Bumper Graham on Radio Ulster at the moment saying strike on Friday is only the start of a programme of action.
