tax credit overpayment dispute help

Hi all, hoping someone can help? I received wtc & ctc for my son when he was in school/college.. he is now 22! Back in 2011 I was advised I had been overpaid by a whopping £3k ! I asked for copies of all their computer records under the data prot act and phone calls .. I received 5 boxes of records and 5 cds with audio files. After wading my way through for months I finally found the numerous errors which had been made. Some by myself, the tax office and the DWP.

The main error I cannot get them to look at is that I became disabled in 2003. I get higher rate for both mobility and care. In 2007/08 the DWP advised the tax office directly I was no longer in receipt of DLA. This was incorrect and I sent them a copy of my entitlement letter and on going bank statements proving I was in fact in receipt.

Since 2011 I have been ill and could not get to the docs I needed to prove the overpayment calc was wrong. I finally got in the loft in 2014 LOL. I sent them a copy of every bank statement and every entitlement letter going back to 2003 and up to when my son left college 2010. I also went through all the other errors and asked them to review the calculations as it was based on their wrong info.

I did not receive a reply so I called on 5th January and was told the letters had never been received or scanned on so resend. I had sent by special delivery so had a signature but was told I still needed to resend. So I did.

I called today and my original paperwork is now scanned on & has a note against it dated (surprisingly) 4th January advised I had a review in 2011 and therefore no further action needed. The note is from the dispute team.

The call handler today advised they have obviously not read my letter correctly which clearly gives them EXTRA info they did not have at the time of the review in 2011 ie the letter from DLA advising my DLA was paid in 2007/08. He is not allowed to talk to the dept or contact them. He spoke with a mgr who advised all I can do is write and ask them to review again.

I am actually nearly at the end of repaying the overpayment now and wonder how I can actually get the IR to reply to my letters and also admit they had wrong info .. which I didn't give them and they didn't tell me about until 2011!
