I remember my nan getting a phone connected but she didn't know anyone who had a phone to use it:rotfl:

Also remember going on holiday without dad and queuing every night at the phone box on the camp site to ring home to say goodnight:) gosh we did grow up in the dark ages... And I'm not ever 40....

I write thank you letters when people have me over to stay. I love picking out some pretty paper and an envelope :) We were always told to write them as children so I think it's held me in good stead.

How lovely to hear that Emm...I love nothing better than writing a letter to my Grandson at Uni and he loves receiving them and says his friends are quite envious of him getting letters from his dear Nan:AI feel this is such a shame that it is not used more often as a means of communication instead of texts and email ...but that is just the way Nannylala feels ..old school ;)

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)
