I'll be doing this as soon as my debit card arrives for the donor account.
But dont think the cat food can wait until then :rotfl::hello: The grass is not greener, it just looks that way from a distance :hello:0 -
I think me and mhoc are shaking in our boots at the thought of turning out every 6 months.
I do wish I could be like you to be honest it doesn't even notice I have even made a dent.
Huge bag too.
Sporadically I do have culls and I’ve sent quite a lot to Oxfam last year and anything that is really too far gone goes into the clothing bank.
At the end of November I started on one wardrobe which has jackets in – classics from the 80s and 90s so they were very easy to bag up. I also came across a jacket and trousers suit which had Jeff on the label – this was Sainsburys designer before it became Tu so goodness knows how old. So this alongside some tops suitable for ebaying and a pair of size 12 black trousers I unearthed as well, they all went on the radiator and then at some stage later they went into eldest childs bedroom for storage.
Then Christmas came and eldest child was home and she said she did not want her bedroom used as a walk in wardrobe (bear in mind she left home 9 years ago so has maybe slept at home for possible 2 weeks in that time)
So everything was shifted out of her bedroom, boxed or put back in a wardrobe or something. Over winter we had 3 birthdays, Christmas, New year and a trip to center parcs so I didn’t think about wardrobe sorting again.
2 days after center parcs we went on holiday – I had packed the week before Oh had packed the day before including my dresses - OH always has my long dresses in his bigger case so I have the smaller more manageable case
So after we had found our cabin our cases had already arrived. I hate unpacking so the sooner its done the better so we started emptying cases and hanging stuff up. Out of OHs case came my long dresses and he then produced the tops suitable for ebay, the Jeff sainsburys trousers suit and black trousers which he insisted were next to the cases so he assumed I had put them there for packing …. :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Crikey  It's difficult when you have a sentimental attachment to things though.
For some people it feels good to have a clear out. I think of it as spring cleaningMakes my brain feel less cluttered afterwards if that makes any sense.
My sister is the total opposite to me. She keeps way more stuff she doesn't need and if you talk to her about getting rid of even some of it, she gets super defensive. She moved out recently so had her first clear out in about 10 years. She went at her own pace. I was surprised how much she did throw/donate, even though there's a lot left.
Yes I am dreadful for getting sentimental about clothes, both good memories and bad ones.
I can look at a maxi frock and it reminds me of the hot summer eldest child moved into a little terrace and we went shortly after they moved in - my first job was doing 2 weeks of washing up.
When I was visiting my dad in his care home I always wore the same skirt as I knew in my heart that the end would come sooner or later. As soon as he went the skirt went into the cloth bank, could not bear to see it or touch it again.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

SFSB, there are some marks own brand cat foods in the 20p clearance too, as well as some cat treats.
There did also appear to be Dog food as well, but none left at my M&S.
With regards hair cuts, SWMBO has hers cut by the same lady that used to cut it when she was a teenager. She has a salon above her (rather large) garage with 4 chairs, but only works Thurs/Fri/sat with her son washing/colouring the hair and neice doing coffees etc. A nice little family run business (the son has a little barbers downstairs and does my hair too) but because they have so little overheads even a cut and colour is less than £40 and the kids get both theirs done for a tenner with free trims inbetween. Unless you are an existing customer, or a friend of a customer then you would never know about it so its like a little secret club.0 -
Couldn't agree more! When it comes to haircuts and beauty treatments, I'm never MSE. These things are a treat, so I treat myself. I get a good deal on my false nails but that's about it.
Gooooood morning. The sun has got his hat on here. Sort of, it's half on half off so he looks a bit 'street'
Agreed. I get my hair cut once every 1-2 years (out of forgetfulness more than anything else). My hairdresser is pretty sweet and usually gives me 20% off (the price, not my hair) as when I have leftover cupcakes I pop over with them
Morning all 'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -

I am in the midst. I have now got my M and S debit card and pin and I've got a call back this afternoon from the switch team to do the switch from a nwide current set up specifically - just need the sort code and pin.
I've also set up a Marks monthly savings - £250 per month at 6%
I've just got to find out if I need to fund the M&S with an amount each month and if there is a monthly operation fee - no mention of either when I was talking to the lady on Monday.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Is anyone close enough to A to pop in to check the price of 1.75l bottles of coke and 2l bottles of Fanta, Dr Pepper etc? There are no multis on any of them on msm and if they are in a multi offer should compare beautifully with T and M.0
