Sunken bath ?? My bathroom is so long and narrow, I was thinking, can i put a bath on the top bunk, and have the toilet and sink (the ones that have the worktop and cupboards underneath letting me then have a shower cubicle separate.:rotfl:

And you think your mind is funny sometimes:rotfl:

Mind you I did see a sunken bath once that was built under the ...wait for it ..... bed. You pushed the bed away and hey presto the bath was there with rubber ducks and all:p

The houses near my first job had baths with table tops in the kitchen. They were a big improvement on the tin bath that hung on a hook in the back yard and was dragged in front of the fire on bath night. All very Victorian Alex!:D

I'd totes have a bar in the living room.

Over a bench, with big metal discs on it... :D

I was pondering this thread the other day, and a thing that came to mind was "It's really uncool to live with your parents"! My mind is funny sometimes...

I don't think I'd like a hotel-style bathroom either. Mind you, my dream is a sunken bath...

    Only you, HBS. ;)

As for being "cool", think I gave up any hope of that many, many years ago. :rotfl:

There's some joke in there, I'm sure which I'm not quite getting ...

If this is actually serious and you really have seen a sunken bath built under a bed,.

:rotfl: Re. tin bath. My father seems to recall those from his childhood, not sure whether he's telling the truth or not, though. Mind, at this point it looks as if spending £££££s on the bathroom is out of the question ... I've bought a TR6 (suppose I ought to tell Mrs K sometime soon). So, savings are somewhat non-existent at the moment. :o
    2018 totals:

    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

Those savings were for the house, Alex. Or so I thought?

I haven't read enough of your diary to know if the TR6 was a good idea and hopefully it will appreciate in time BUT did you have to spend ALL your savings?????

I honestly think you have not taken on board any help offered from the posters who have bent over backwards to help you.

I really think you are now taking the pi**

Who are you trying to impress? It certainly isn't me.

As far as I am concerned I am no longer interested in what you do with your life and will not be following your diary any longer.
  • Been away for a few days but how on earth did the conversation go from learning how to budget to blowing all of your savings on a car?:eek::eek:

I have to admit that I've always been a little confused by this diary as it seems more of a self-help clinic than a MFW diary, specifically as there is never any talk of overpayments.

I honestly don't know what to think anymore....I just don't know how Mrs LK is going to react when she finds out that all the money for the bathroom has been spent :eek::eek: To think you spent all that money without consulting her first.... :(
