Thanks for all the replies. To answer some of your queries. It is a Standing order & I never missed a payment. I've printed out statements going back to beginning of Jan this year to take into branch tomorrow. All the dates are a Monday until last week when it been taken twice. Thanks for the update on the change to weekend payments as at present some of my benefits due on a Monday go in on a Saturday. I will also ask them about this & will update you guys. Thanks

Should have phoned your bank, rather than ask on here.

The retry process will try to collect funds at 2.30am if the funds are not available they will try again at 14.30pm on the same day.

I thought it was re try at 3.30 - but if there are insufficent funds to pay they would try daily for 28 days.

Each bank have their own cut off times for the retry.

Went into branch this morning. Very apologetic. It turns out that there was going to be a problem processing SO & DD's on Monday 9th. So they were brought forward to Friday the 6th. Then were to revert back to normal. The Branch 's had the warning issued to them but it seems the Customers weren't informed! Also a few customers(including me), the payments did not revert back. The Branch is going to ring me Thursday morning with an update. They are also going to reimburse my traveling costs(14 mile trip).

I also asked them about the change in weekend payments. They have no knowledge of any proposals.

It's very clear on the website that a change is going to happen.

So you may want to stop relying on the payments being made available to you on the Saturday.

Bank rang as promised. SO reset to Mondays. £6.30 traveling costs reimbursed + additional £10 compensation :)
