Have they been on watchdog or am i thinking of somewhere similar?

Just checked Lapland New Forest. They closed down and similar sites about to open never did.

Supposed to have had huskies and reindeer but visitors were disapointed and trading standards got involved.

    That was 2008/2009 though.

I presume different company, Different site?

Lapland UK is at Bewl Water in Kent. Even so, both previous Lapland Kents ended up in administration. Lapland New Forest was last years copy of Lapland Kent but on an even worse scale.

We took our 2 year old daughter in 2008,(cost £225) it was good. She was too young in hindsight and now having done the Centerparcs Winterwonderland for £200 Mon-Fri, its CP all the way for me.

£57 each to get in so family of 4 £228

a lot of money but worth it for the kids or so i thought.

They fleece you for an extra £2 to park your car in what looks like an old lorry park .

This lapland uk is a timed event how long would you expect your lapland experience to last for the huge amount of money you have paid to get in?

Many forum report oh yeeah a wonderful day, had a great day etc.... Well
for your money you get 3 and a half hours, you cant extend or stay any longer, its a timed event and you are guided through each bit with military timing,
you see santa at the very end and once you seen him, by the way there are around 10 santas in different wooden buildings in the woods and each family guided to a different one.
After santa all,you can do is walk the path to the reindeer
which is next to the photo buying shop with one way in and a different way out.
Oh year santa pictures are extra and they not cheap at £10 each, you are not permitted to photograph your own children while they are with santa, just so they can flog you an over priced picture,
you do get a huskey toy for each child, then they sell cloths for it in the picture shop so the kids can bug you to buy buy buy. Saw lots of parents getting stressed by there kids because they wanted them at £6 each and more.

Once you leave the exit you walk down the path and guess where you are? Yeah in the bloody car park.
Total time 3 hours 30 minutes.

So, i was not happy with that really but many people seem to be, just make up your own mind and be aware, its a short visit and not a days outing for the family
