Hi ,
We went yesterday and I must say I paid £130 for 2 adults and 2 children ( 2 & 7 ) . I think next year I will spend my money on something else , as good as it was for the children it certainly was not worth the money , lots of standing around doing nothing , have of the stuff advertised on the websiter just does not happen , no "Listening to traditional storytelling of Lappish folktales in the atmospheric Kota (tepee) of the Saami people." No "Husky dogs" , well there was one in a cage eating his dinner ! The reindeer , only 2 of them spent all the time trying to hump each other , was quite comical listening to the kids though saying , "Look Dad , that ones trying to fly over the other" :rotfl:
Not enough "snow" (mushed up paper) about , the food and drink was a complete rip off , £2.50 for a cup of coffee ! The sandwich bag for £3.25 for the kids weren't bad though , sandwich , drink , piece of fruit and bag of buttons .
However like people have said the look on the kids face is worth it but as adults don't get your hopes up . JMOBaby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .
Thomas came home after 3 months and 2 days in hospital weighing 5lb 15ozs
Thomas weighed 21lb 4ozs on his 1st birthday , a total weight gain of 18lbs 5ozs !

Booking to go to LaplandUK has been the worst thing I have ever done! They cancelled our 'trip' on the 2nd December due to bad weather (also subsequently on the 6th Dec apparantley too). They said they would offer another date but had none available after waiting 2 days to come back to me and still have not refunded our money!
My daughter was devastated after all the excitement and anticipation....she is 7 so the chance of her still 'believing' next year is slim. I have made several phone calls to no avail and have emailed, only receiving a one line reply saying they have many refunds to make and that they will get to me!! Soooo angry...
All my DD1's school mates were meant to be going that day , they have now been re-booked for the 19th @ 13.30 .Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .

Interesting point - I'd forgotten about that! I visited in early December and was wondering how long it would take to receive it.
Still waiting.......
DD enjoyed the day though so that's all that matters I suppose0 -
Just had a quick look at proper Lapland holidays and one night, 2 adults and 2 children is coming in at around £1400! Now that's expensive!
Cheers.

We went on Saturday and had a fantastic day. We made use of the book 2 tickets, get 2 tickets free (I think now the offer is down to book 2 tickets, get 1 free for certain days) - I was actually really impressed with all the small details and didn't spot anything that ruined the magic. My children are 5 and 8 and came away in no doubt that the whole thing was real - even when we had to visit first aid everyone stayed in character. We were also impressed with the food, and we had no hanging around or queuing at any point. My tip is go - but don't pay full price and don't go too late in the year when it will be busy!0

Hi all
I have just come back from Lapland UK and if I can give anyone advice its please - dont book it!
We paid £49.50 pp, for 2 disabled visitors, myself and my 3 year old son. Plus a booking fee, so just over £200 in total. For that money we received 4 small biscuits, and a soft toy husky.
Our day started at 1.30 after spending nearlyan hour waiting in the bitter cold. It seems to not matter if you are 2 hours late - one family had only just looked at their tickets which were for 11.30 and still got in fine! Good for them. Shame we were early and my disabled parents had to stand around for about an hour and a half. We were told it was disabled friendly.Oh, how they lie! My parents were crying the next day because of the waste of money for someone who cannot work due to disability, and the pain of standing ALL DAY. I wont ruin the whole day if you are booked and I am sure people with money to burn will like lapland uk, but I dont have money to throw around and thought I would treat my little boy to anexperience he'd never forget. I wish I had taken him to Butlins.
I have complained to lapland uk and am awaiting a response. But I certainly would not recommend it to ANYONE.0
