IAS decisions at a real court
Comments

here are some of the comments that we had from this wonderful service, we are due in court at end of month, interesting to see if they are produced
"[Whilst I accept that the Appellant purchased their ticket before the parking charge was issued the requirement on the sign is to display the ticket not just to purchase it. As there is no evidence it was displayed before the charge was issued the appeal is dismissed".

If I was to receive an ipc ticket any so called ias reply would be greeted with a barrage of complaints, together with a put up or shut up letter to the ppc and landowner
I still have a 'ticket' open with Sussex Security Solutions ( who bizarrely operate out of the same address as Capital 2 Coast ! ). IAS rejected it so I sent a rude barrage of emails to IAS pointing out they were corrupt and their links to Gladstones etc. Strangely I've never heard anything from IAS nor SSS. :rotfl:"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -

Not bizarre at all give that both businesses are owned by the same geezer, [Name removed by Forum Team]. He also has Ethical(!) Group Ltd. in his little stable of south coast parking parasites.
Somewhat incongruously he is also in the hospitality business with Old Selden Farm Bed & Breakfast, and Selden Barn Weddings, so anyone considering accepting his hospitality at one of those establishments may wish to re-consider knowing what kind of person they are about to do business with.
Even more incongruously he repeatedly (and unsuccessfully so far) stands as a prospective councillor in local elections in Sussex, so anyone seeing his name come up on a ballot may wish to publicise his unsavoury business interests through the local press,Je suis Charlie.0 -

What is even more ironic is that he stood for the Lib Dems in 2013 under the banner 'for a fairer Britain'
And of course the nomination papers show his REAL address which company records don't. I wonder if he likes pizza and skips ( as in the things you put rubbish in ) ?
And for those that think Sussex is a bit of a broad area to find his nomination papers - he stood in Rustington."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -

If you mean the address in Rustington that includes the name of a tree, that appears to be a holiday let owned by {Edited by forum team}. Presumably he uses it as an address of convenience to make it look like he lives in the ward, whereas his real home appears to be across the border in Angmering and Findon: http://www.seldenfarm.co.uk/Je suis Charlie.0 -
So, to sum up, no event where an IAS appeal which has been dismissed has yet been taken to court by a PPC, but there may be one (eddy1, post 12),

in the near future. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

I'm pretty sure I recall at least one court case following a refused IAS appeal, but whether the IAS adjudication actually made an appearance in the court room I've no idea.Je suis Charlie.0 -
The sooner something is done about this pathetic extension of the whole grubby, disgusting, shabby, shameful con, the better.
This post on Pep today defies all logic and reason.

yup I copied/pasted that from this forum , as I thought it was so funny
I think the OP should write nicely asking for them to read and reassess there dismissal , if they still think its correct , the should start court proceedings
reading that in court would make them laughing stocks , the magistrate should ask the adjudicator to be present , as he has questions for him.0 -
Freddy, magistrates sit in the Magistrates Court (clue's in the name) whereas PPC cases are heard in the Small Claims Court the domain of District and Deputy District Judges. (Yes I know that District Judges also sit as what used to be known as stipendiary magistrates but that doesn't turn SCC cases into cases heard by magistrates.enfield_freddy wrote: »yup I copied/pasted that from this forum , as I thought it was so funny

Not that I'd mind a PPC being hauled before the odd magistrate or two especially if they were then committed to the Crown Court for sentence. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0
