Youre welcome, although simple thanks on my post would have done.....Couponing....."every little hurts"

Going out soon to get some points now the "shopping" is done......
Well I went out...............and had another successful time...
Managed to take £80 worth of heavily couponed clothes, back to a non clothes store, where they never even noticed the 20% off and gave me a full refund.....
In the same store i bought all the things on my healthy living and food club mailings and combined them with 12 Pampas wipes(got a buyer) and a £30 DVD boxed set(for the points) and the bill came to £60 ish....after bogof and coupons it dropped to £23.....(but i had the £24 DVD to go back....)...Had a bit of problem with some coupons, the 2 out of the Daily Mail didnt seem to want to scan, and neither did some of my Pampers points....anyway she scanned what she could and suggested i went to CS to get it sorted....CS were very obliging and actually noticed she had only scanned 8 Pampas....but she said she wasnt going to check my trolly as it was their fault...and she scanned 6 of my 100 pointers and 2 newspaper coupons and gave me £5.50 in my hand......it wasnt until i checked my receipt outside that i noticed that 4x £2.10 coupons had scanned.....funny i thought , as i only had one of these...... decided not to go back and complain....lol
Went to next store that refused all my mocs yesterday, picked up 12 Johnsons wipes(got a buyer for those as well) and a pack of Tesco nappies(not got a buyer yet...thats why i only got one)....handed in 14 points coupons and some newspaper coupons....bill came down to £4 ish, and he handed me my change....and (I hadnt realised until i was half way home)....ALL my coupons....I toyed with the idea of going back, or ringing the store, in case his till was short and he got into trouble...but thought the consequences could be dire for me if they were to check and read my receipt(having used my points collecting "Tesco Identity card")....so decided against it....
Took stuff to car, came back in, did 2x 2 Pampers on the SS tills and took my £30 DVD back, on which she gave me a full cash refund....even though i bought it on my card...
Yesterday it was no mocs, today it didnt seem to matter....
Called in another store on the way home, but just did 3 transactions of 2 x Pampers through the SS tills with 2 points coupons and a £1 Huggies coupon....
So quite a successful evening....lots of points and little outlay
Happy days.....but what a rip-off Tescos are.....lots of the stuff i bought on bogof during the last HandB issue were less than the bogof price in Wilkinsons, Home Bargains, Pound Shops.....so Tescos must greatly inflate their prices before offers start..........but we all knew that didnt we....Couponing....."every little hurts"

The £1 off Palmolive Cashmere coupon expires tomorrow..........so its your last chance to get them....3 for £1.65 isnt TOO bad....especially if youve got a buyer for £1 each....
No one ever wanted these coupons...I remember grabbing a newly opened box of these with around 530 in it.... after being "dared to".............Couponing....."every little hurts"

Thank you
No, unfortunately no one has........cos......theres none out at the moment....The £1 Palmolives expire tomorrow, the £1 shaving coupons are pretty crap and are item specific, and the Mum's Choice leaflet is points only....and theyre coupons....not vouchers....Couponing....."every little hurts"

leadhead what happened to those 75% off coupons???? LOL
Well I've donme nowhere near what you lot have buthave had a good wekend nonetheless.
Went into town and nipped into boots to get some expert soap for 87p with 100 points back. None there (surprise surprise!) butnoticed reduced shelf with easter eggs on. 4 fair trade eggs 227g each, (choc egg with bag of mini eggs) had £1.24 on the label. Then several twin packs of chocolate lolly twin packs 37p.
A large sign then said 75% off marked price.
Mind went into overdrive. knew the 227g egg was likely £5 to startwith and £1.24 was the 75% off and same with the lollies. However put all 4 eggs in my basket and picked up 3 lolly twin packs, thinking to treat the kids and myself to a lolly.
Goes to till, cashier puts them through and says £6 whatever.
I say, "That's not right, the eggs are 31p each and the lollies 10p. That sign says 75% off marked prices, and the marked prices are £1.24 and 37p."
"Oh that sign shouldn't be there," she replies.
I said, "Well that's what it says, think you'll find you have to honour it."
"h can't be bothered" she said. "How much did you say they should be?"
lmao. So paid 31p each for 4 large eggs and 10p each for the lollies. Well didn';t pay anything actually cos paid with my points, the amount of which I have, she commented upon!
Went out yesterday to a premier league sticker swap shop, armed with coupons from the daily mail. Went to a tesc and handed them over and was told by the girl they didn't accept coupons. I said, "yes you do, I have an e mail" and fished it out. Supervisor was called
"We've changed the policy since that e mail" she says.
Erm, NOOO! says I
woman was very rude, embarrassed me in front of several customers and refused to give her name.
Another woman went off to ring head office to clarify. This tok ages during which time, the girl on the till says to another girl "THis woman reckons she can give in coupons for things she hasn't bought to pay for her shopping"
I interrupted her and said "I KNOW I can!"
Other girl says "no you can't, never heard of that"
Still waiting, supervisor is going past and till girl calls her. "This woman thinks you can give in coupons for things you haven't bought"
"yes that's right" suspervisor says.
Till girl looks suitably embarrassed and 'put down'
"You CAN?" she asks incredulously.
"Yes" says SA, "as long as the coupon's in date, we sell it blah de blah de blah."
"Yes, exactly as I said in the e mail" I said!
So anyway got sundays's joint, a load of coffee, some biscuits cakes and yoghurts for a few pence. Then called at another tesco on way home and gave same 5 coupons in for more shopping no problem.
Also while we were out my DS found £2 in Boots, was walkingpast a boozer when he spotted a fiver in the doorway when door was opened, so dashed in and tidied it up!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then found an 85 points and 28 points coupon in tesco car park.
Nowhere near leadhead's standards but a fruitful day all round!
Just would've loved some of those 75% off leafletsI can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0 -

Wll done, sounds a successful day....re the 75%...there are none in my area...i had 400 and 600 respectively of the first two issues, but have had to rely on swaps and other generous people sending me them on the last two lots, and could have used more.....so unfortunately havent been in a position to send any out.....Couponing....."every little hurts"

hi leadhead - what extra points do you get on the DVD box set? thanks
Last week i picked up a till spit which gave 250 extra points on any DVD over £15.....valid until 06/04/08( i think)
I never get till spits in my own right.................maybe cos i dont "shop" there!!!......unless its free or almost free, or has loads of points attatched.....
Just got another load of points(Pampers) this morning and offset the bill with Daily Mail Coupons......although these are difficult to scan, they seem to work ok with the "gun".........saved a fortune using these........
Just sold the Pampers at £1 a pack and added 4000 points to my total.....
So, profit and points in one day....doesnt get much better than this............... em...........but sometimes it does.. or it did in the past...........dont ever think it will again..........Couponing....."every little hurts"
