I went to Mr T'S today to do a spot of h&b and dtd (as mentioned previously on this thread)

I put in the trolley (along with other bits and bobs)

2 macadam shampoo (2.00 shelf price)
2 macadam conditioner (2.00 shelf price)
4 garlic caps (35p)

i intended to use 2 x £1 off toiletry and 4 50 pointers, then also go to CS for dtd on macadam shampoo as on h&b leaflet should be 1.47... FOILED


cashier could not scan £1 toiletry or 50 pointers!!!
so i told her i didnt want the shampoo or conditioner which she removed. still took the garlic but couldnt be bothered to go to cs as my son was playing up!!! what a terrible trip!!!!

where did i go wrong?? any ideas??

I think the Macadam range is classed a beauty not toiletry so the £1 won't scan on these - same for any of the 'posh' shampoos.

Wouldn't scan for me yesterday on £16 worth of MacAdam stuff. Took to CS as was charged £2 each:rolleyes: showed her the H&B leaflet with £1.47 on it and she read from the small print "available in selected stores only"! Ho! Hum! Had a refund and clever woman:rolleyes: gave me back £18 instead of £16! No DTD but some you win, some you lose - not quite sure whether I won or lost - but I walked out of Ts with £2 more in my purse than I went in with.:T

Ooh didn't know this glitch - so it if you get DTD back the Macadam shampoos work out at £1 each - billy bargain !

Only trouble is I have only ever seen 7 of these leaflets and I've binned the leaflet keeping just the coupons :rolleyes:

From my experience I've found out the only coupons that don't scan past their expiry date are Tescos own..H&B etc...

Yes it does scan....................and the stores have until May to redeem it, so they wont lose out

and Yes that's correct...Store specific coupons are recognised by their own tills...But some A store specific still scan after 2 years in T and visa versa...but i wouldnt promote this............ahm.

In 3 seperate transactions this afternoon, i got 12 Pepsi, 6 Maryland Cookies, and 2 Pizzas...used the coupons off the 75% off leaflet and 1 internet Coke Coupon and paid..£1.21 3 times....all in the same store...Its a pity they dont stock Garlic Capsules....

Must go out for coupons tonight.....Gave a few away this afternoon, in store...they didnt know promotion was on....One woman had 6 Pepsi in trolly and no coupons...she was about to pay £6.90....i gave her 6 coupons and she should have paid 78pence.......and she went back for Cookies and Pizzas....

Not only have I missed out on pepsi/coke. It looks like I have missed maryland cookies and pizza as well!!!!

4 x350 ml bottles of the new Coke Plus...Internet coupon worth £2.49..but theyre only £1.99 in Tescos, £2.45 in Sainsburys and £1 in Morrisons....So money off your shopping all round ..SA depending of course....and they let me buy them at 12 a time....for weeks....

Sorry just being funny. My question is I think Ive been missing out and cant seem to find anywhere on the previous posts what these coupons are to buy pizzas, cookies and coke??? Can you help....pleeaase? Thanks in advance.
