Wish mrt would let all his staff know which policy they are doing-today the assistant called a supervisor as she got told off the other day as she took too many coupons (Rachie B bet that was you!!!).supervisor was really snotty -said only if youve bought it-was feeling brave so politley told her l had heard different. So she huffed and puffed then called some one else and then tried to say we only accept one coupon per shop-so l said its one of each type l heard so she then scutinised them and she let the girl put 4 thru.Over night they have put self scan tills in so may be able to take DM book one thru that way! Think l ruined her day so was bit satisfied!!!!!

  • This is all new to me, and have never used a tesco coupon in my life...However, I have a few of the following;-
    1.00 x colgate mouthwash
    40p x colgate
    1.25 x beauty & toiletries
    2.00 x healthcare.
Now I have been looking to see how I can use them, but am a little confused, (you all seem such experts!!)
I need shampoo & body washes mainly, so any ideas how these will work???
I could do with a rather cunning shopping list please..... thank you
  • carry on from above, I also have,
    1 x 60p plamolive/eden
    1 x 70p palmolive
    1 x 2.50 professional haircare

I've used a couple (at a tesco extra. I wouldn't get away with this at my local metro store) my teenage daughter used 1 on 2 magazines - this was last month. The magazines came to less than the value of the book token - till was showing a negative figure! Guy on SS tills told her to go and get some sweets. Total to pay was 12p! I could'nt believe she got away with that. What a nice guy. Pitty this wasn't at my local store (no such luck!).

    Hi all

I have not tried buying the JF stuff as I only got SB yesterday.

If I bought 3 items at £4.46 each (on 342) I would have to pay £8.92 - could I use £2.50 JF from SB - £2.50 H&B and 2 x £1.25 H&B leaving £1.42 to pay. Would this work or is there a better way?

Also does anyone know if the 342 JF offer finishes tomorrow?

    Thanks for any help.

I've done this combination loads and it seems to be the best way to maximise your coupon use. I once tried to make it up to £15 and use another £1.25 quit but the till refused it.
I would imagine that the offer will finish tomorrow when the rest do but hopefully we will get a better one in it's place!!!

The 342 on John Frieda does finish tomorrow yeah, I had a look at the date on the notice while I was there today.

I did my first JF shop today cos I've only just got hold of some SB's, I bought a Shampoo, Conditioner, and a Hair Shine, all for £4.46, total after 342 was £8.92. I am a bit of a baby so I only ever give one of each coupon at a time, so I used 1.25 QK, a 2.50 HB, a 2.50 SB, and a 50 points coupon. Total after coupons £2.67. Could get this down further if I'd used a second QK but I'm a chicken :p

Also did two more shops, one was a repeat of the above plus 2 Dove deodorants on 2 for £3 and an Imperial Leather shower gel for £1. Used 1.25 QK, 2.50 HB, 2.50 SB, 1.00 SB, and a 50 points coupon. Total to pay was £5.67, not great but I needed the deodorant and a fiver isn't bad for all that I spose! Third shop was 2 Durex Play and a Gaviscon Handypack, total after BOGOF £4.87, used a 2.00 QK and a 1.00 HB. Total to pay £1.87 :)

Oh and not a single coupon in sight at my Tesco today, no QK's, no SB's (never has been!) and no HB either. As usual!

Also, there was a particularly suspicious and sour-faced woman working on the pharmacy who had her beady eye on me the whole time I was in the HB aisle, and she even came out from her counter a few times and stood right behind me, felt like she was trying to see what I was doing on my phone (I was of course using the calculator on it!). It's so offputting having someone scrutinising your every move

On my final shop, got to the till and the girl was lovely and smily friendly with me, all the way until I hand over my coupons. She put them all through, but isn't it funny how some of them change their mood towards you so drastically just cos you get a bit of money off! Would be a great topic for a dissertation for someone studying Psychology or something, imagine all that Tescoing you could do as your "research" :rotfl:
