    for those of you with h&b leaflets when do they expire? my store is being a bit naughty and obviously have them stashed away, they have them stuck on a wall with a fragrance promotion implying that you can only use them on fragrance, obviously know better but am trying to pluck up the courage to ask for them to spend on other h&b, thought they may be a bit more generous closer to the expiry date!

    Looked at the kids toothbrushes the other day in our cup holder & thought wow.. the kids actually need new toothbrushes... Since having stacks of toothpaste.. they really are cleaning their teeth on a regular basis.. But why do they have to have 5 tubes open though :confused: ...

    Here's what I've been doing.....

    8 x Oral toothbrushes @ £2.79 = £22.32
    4 x Tresemme @ £3.99 = £15.96
    4 x Plax @ £2.86 = £11.44
    1 x Tesco tpate = 0.29p

    Total = £50.01
    BOGOF's = - £24.86
    Total to Pay = £25.15

    USED...

    4 x £1.00 plax, 5 x £2.50 h&b, 7 x £1.00hb, 1 x £1.25qp, 1 x 40p colgate = 0p to pay....

    Of course I never performed a 0p transaction though, as been topping up shops with general groceries... but then again still used a few more coupons than above to get extra money off....

    I've also suffered with the cashier of late not scanning enough of the products that I've bought.. such as 8 slimfast today only 7 were scanned which throws a few of the coupons out of the equation... Luckily I have a nice lad that puts them through as non scan coupons.. Trying to tackle this under scanning of products.. by seperating same items amongst the shop on the belt...

    It isn't one per item its one per £2 spent so you can use as many as the SA will accept....as long as you have spent enough...and it works on the total before BOGOFS

    On 2 occasions I`ve had the 5th 50pointer refused by the till not the cashier but have found that by adding a cheap toothpaste or soap so that its still only just over the £10 before bogofs but 5 items not 4 then the last 50 pointer goes through fine!

    I'm afraid you are wrong...yes you have to spend £2 to redeem each one, but you cant redeem more than the actual amount of HB items you have bought..........unless theve changed it.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

    But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

  • Kronen - what a nice combination to get to £50.01 ;) . Would the Colgate Smiles Toothbrush coupons from the Bright booklet work against the Oral toothbrushes? I think they're for 40p each.

    Poundsinbucks x :D

    I've not tried as yet... But an extra £3.20 would be nice from pretty much wasted coupons... Hopefully someone else will report... If not I'll give it a go tomorrow substituting 3 x £1.00's...

    Thanks... Some may say brave some may say stupid... This is a great combo as the items are small & not loads of multiples so looks normal in your trolley... Unlike when I was doing 14 plax at a go (abnormal shopping Tbh.)... I know these cashiers & 18 coupons is a drop in the ocean to what I have given before... I've been told off for seperating my shopping... so now just throw a couple of £20.00 combos together with 4 plax for that little extra off...

    All the coupons end up in the tills so I really can't see the point in popping in & out & doing seperate transactions... If you know it's safe...

    Hi, my turn to ask for a little help from anyone....

    Really thought I deserved a treat... I'm sure some of you mum's do the same... Spoil the kids... & then feel too guilty to buy yourself anything.. Well that's me....

    So I saw some D&G EDT reduced from £23.00 to £11.50... not sure what it smells like but I liked the price... Went back to the car to work out a couponing combo... Obviously Plax again for that little extra..

    To cut this short I bought 4 x plax, 1 x aquafresh tpaste (so 3 x £1.00 toiletries would scan) with the £11.50 perfume... & not actually needed for the shop combo 2 x bath sponges @ 0.37p each..

    Now only 1 x £2.50h&b, 1 x £2.50sb, 2 x £1.25 qp's, 3 x £1.00, 4 x plax, 1 x colgate scanned.

    Coupons the till refused were 1 of each £2.50's & 2 extra £1.25qp's.

    I can't understand why 2 x £2.50sb's, 2 x £2.50h&b & 4 x £1.25 qp's weren't accepted....

    Was the till having a bad day :confused: Or is there something I'm missing... First time I've tried perfume but I'm aware it isn't toiletry...

    If anyones managed to coupon some perfume successfully for very little could you post what you did & what you used...

    Thanks *K*
