Did a shop in my local on Friday, they have a beauty week on! Was given a couple of booklets with no coupons/vouchers. Asked if H&B booklets were gonna be in soon and she said she's waiting for them to arrive. Any day now!

ermm, I may be wrong, but as far as I am aware omega 3 is an essential good fatty acid and not a vitamin. yes, it's very good. I am thinking more of the vitamins, ie c d a e b b12 etc. I was told by a doctor that children shouldn't be given vitamins unless they have a specific condition that warrants it.
byw my son was diagnosed with aspergers and adhd as a toddler but I learned about artificial food additives around the same time and cut them out of both children's diets. (Its far easier now, because so many companies have cottoned on, whereas at the time ( he is now 9) everyone scoffed at me and I had to read everything) I also made sure they had 5 portions of F&V a day and they eat ANYTHING! And have 3 wholesome meals a day. both drink water. Both my kids have an academic age of 4 years ahead, neither have ever had antibiotics and they rarely get colds etc. I really believe diet and exercise play a part (They walk over 2 miles each way to school too!) and yes omega 3 is a great thing. They do get it from eggs, and a good number of other foods too.
btw NEVER give your kids sugar free drinks They are full of aspartame which is banned elsewhere as it causes hyperactivity AND is a carcinogen. It is even in calpol and paracetamol preps. Ask the chemist for medinol instead if you need paracet for your kids;)

I'll shut up now. Wherever theres a thread about food or the environment I start writing essays!:rotfl:

:o :rotfl: thanks for the lesson!

never heard of medinol  i use kids nurofen, but hardly ever as <touch wood> my 2 dont seem to get ill very often

    I've been Money Tipped!

Then I've decided to be a little bit sneaky :o and go to CS after the shop and produce the other 3x 100p wyb french, spanish, australian wine that "my sister Imogen" got sent and say I forgot to use them/ they didnt work at the till etc

Try giving them all to the cashier first. the till will accept 2 x 100p vouchers on the same bottle of wine. Well it did last mailing on my brown brothers purchase..

And if the till doesn't? Go to CS anyway! nothing lost.

Sadly not this time, in fact I found it doesn't accept any of the vouchers (even though I bought the correct nationality of wine, albeit the mini bottles at about 1.50) so had to go to CS.

  • Hi there, I've only recently started shopping in Tesco's on a regular basis (it's on the way from the hospital.......long story). I have never seen any of the hb booklets, does anybody know if they do them at Westwood, Kent? Also I have quite a few of the 4 pound off sainsbury's vouchers, so do i have to use the self scanner for these or can i hand them over at the till? What are the best ways of getting the most out of your money? Sorry for the questions, but I need the help.lol.
