How true! Had my third shop yesterday with NO COUPONS!! I've been keeping a spending diary since the 1st Sept last year and have rarely, if ever, run completely out of coupons.
As I despondently put the food away, my son told me that this was what "normal people" do.......they just buy food with CASH!
I have the opposite problem, too many coupons especially the small value ones. We had an empty next for a week, then we were away for a week and since then I have not seen my favoutite scanners at my local store. I've had a few very poor food shops, just bought essentials but had almost all my coupons refused. So there they sit. I dare not even look at the dates on them.
Just wish there was something I wanted that I could swap these coupons for. I do need some blue clothing coupons though.
I think I am going to do several small small £10 shops every day this week, hopefully to get some of these coupons shifted“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Does anyone know if you can use Sainbury's vouchers in Tesco's?
According to the Email about the new policy from HO, Tesco will not accept coupons (very nearly wrote vouchers then  ) such as '30p off sainsburys cereal' (as an example). They will accept coupons such as '£2 off WYS £20 in Sainsburys'. I have seen signs outside some Tescos that also confirm this. As an aside - you do not have to spend £20 (as in the example above) or, if they are dated, you do not have to use them on the dates shown.
I.E - I got sent 6 £2 off £20 from Sainsburys for 6 different weeks, and used 3 in one transaction on a £15 shop.
HOWEVER, unfortunately not all Tescos adhere to this policy so, as usual, it is not crystal clear that you can use them. Usually depends on the SA as well.

Hey Charlene, using the wine list that got sent with the mailing (v.useful for pre shop coupon planning as there isn't [or I cant find] individual bottle prices on web), I can buy
Tesco Austrailian Red at 2.81,
Marques De Leon White or Red at £2.06 and
Tesco French Red or White at £2.40
Totalling £7.27
and use 100p wyb Spanish wine
100p wyb French wine
100p wyb Australian wine
100p free wyb any wine (thanks for being a wine club member or something)
Double points wyb wine
Thats 414 points if I just buy the wine and nothing else (not likely!)
Then I've decided to be a little bit sneakyand go to CS after the shop and produce the other 3x 100p wyb french, spanish, australian wine that "my sister Imogen" got sent and say I forgot to use them/ they didnt work at the till etc
(If I decide to do that - I'm a bit unsure)
= 714 points (28.56 in deals) for spending £7.27 before any MOCs and 3 bottles of (probably pretty sh*t) wineReclaiming for family and friends. Won 4/13 so farHSBC CC - £263.25, Halifax CC - £179.45, HFC PPI - £589.00, HSBC PPI - £498.86, Lloyds PPI 1 - £4000 -
The new Tesco magazine was in my local Extra shop yesterday. And had lots of MOCS in it. Can't remember them all but there were:
2 different 50p off toilet rolls think the recyclable toilet roil and the lotus one
30p off brie
50p off Kelloggs cereal
20 or 30p off Lactose milk
The Tesco's mag had a greenish cover (might have something to do with the main feature being about recycling).
I'll keep my eyes peeled for new coupons.
Holidaying in Eastbourne week after next, and, as I've heard the SAs say coupons do come into that shop, but nobody here reports ever finding any, I'll have a look out.

Just thought I'd mention that those out of date Radox vouchers must have slipped into the small pile I gave in today and got scanned!
Any of you making the same mistake....then make sure the SA scans the correct side though or you get charged for shower gel!
