I tried this one, but ended up in Mothercare paying £250 for their bed, Mattress and bedding.

You need to upgrade to a kingsize and even that feels too small with a baby in it too0 -

I bought my DS's toddler bed as a "last of line" in mothercare- paid £50 for the frame, £40 for the matress and £10 for delivery, might be worth popping into the bigger branches at sale time (they had a sale on website not long back)
Also keep your eye out in local papers and free-cycle as toddler beds are one of those things people don't keep all that long as they either move up to bunks when they have a new baby turn into a new toddler or the toddler grows up a bit.0 -
Is it worth looking at new/second hand cotbeds? My toddler was very happy in his cot bed and would have been until his sister appeared and converted it back into a cot and he got an ikea toddler bed (which was only £50 inc mattress, I seem to remember, tho may be completely wrong!)Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

This one is currently out of stock but for £120 includes matress with washable cover, duvet, pillow, duvet cover and pillowcase. Also in pink.
I had three of these beds and the quality is absolutely fine. They didn't do the 'package' when I bought them so I paid a fortune for these essential bits and pieces.
The same company also do a bed frame only for £60 if you can get the other stuff at reasonable price somewhere else.0 -
Mine both went straight into normal size beds from cots but IIR Ikea do toddler beds. One day I might be more organised...........

My DD had a cot bed which is the same size as a toddler bed & it was supposed to last until they are 5, she was out of hers by 2 & half. (Admittedly i do seem to have a rather tall child) However unless you are really short of space i would say go for a single bed now as it will be cheaper in the long run plus all the bedding is cheaper.Madison's mum

Ilva had nice kids beds when I was in last weekend. They have a website if you google but may not deliver nationwide.
How about freecycle for the base and buy a new mattress?0
