Kitchen Comparisons

Dear OP
You have a very good point.
Instead of trawling round all various kitchen suppliers from the 'sheds' to independent specialists getting all different designs done in all different makes of furniture using all different door materials. Not forgetting all different worktop materials and appliances!
What you could do is get the kitchen designed properly and once by one professional kitchen designer. Pay for their time and design expertise. Then give that design to all the different kitchen suppliers you are interested in finding out prices from, then all you are asking them to do is provide you with a price rather than their interpretation of a design.
Yes you would be paying £200 to £400 for a design but it will be yours to do as you wish with and you will be getting prices from suppliers that will be as much as possible on a 'like for like' basis.
Hope this helps.

Essentially yes because the knowledgeable people on this forum are usually more than happy to help. What I'm asking for is some idea of approximately the 8 unit comparison that the sheds use.
If you don't have anything useful to contribute why waste your time typing a miss spelt response?
Because what you ask cannot be answered. There is an unknown number of kitchen suppliers in the market and dozens of manufacturers. Very few of them offer a standard '8 unit comparison'. Of those that do, what they do or don't include varies. Some will include a mixture of base and wall units, some will include a tower unit, some will include plinths, some will include end panels etc. So if you did get a comparison, it will be like comparing apples with battleships. The only way you can compare is to get a design drawn up and then ask suppliers to quote against it. Then you have to remember that not all suppliers / manufacturers offer the same ranges anyway. So you will never get a like for like comparison based only on cost.
And if cost is your only method of comparison, then you are going to be sorely disappointed. Price is only one issue. What are lead in times? Logistical arrangements if there is a damaged unit or panel? What is stock holding? What are the guarantees? What is their after sales service like? Do you have a dedicated project manager? When investing many thousands of pounds of your hard earned money, these issues are far more important than the price point.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
Hi,
I bought a kitchen from a local company about 2 months ago and they quoted me almost instantly after i emailed them the kitchen plan. I was so happy with their service that I booked in for a home visit and ended buying a kitchen from them. Their units are to a german spec and our kitchen looks so gorgeous!!!!
Do let me know if you want their contact details.:)
